Our recent SLPI training program was a resounding success, attracting 14 participants from all over the U.S. We are already making plans for our next annual SLPI training at NTID, which will be held from May 11-14, 2026. The second picture depicts members of the MA in Sign Language Education, and the third picture shows ASLTA board members.

Today, we celebrate the rich, vibrant language that has made meaningful communication possible for so many. Take a moment to honor and appreciate the power of ASL in connecting communities and shaping identities.

It was a pleasure to visit Tollenville High School today to speak about American Sign Language and Deaf culture. The students were highly engaged and asked thoughtful, insightful questions throughout the discussion.

Congratulations to Nicole Birnbaum, a proud ASLIE alumna, on her new role as a high school teacher—wishing you continued success in this exciting chapter!

The RIT Provost Summer Program is designed for RIT employees interested in learning basic ASL and Deaf Culture. This is a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their communication skills and understanding of Deaf Culture.
