🇺🇸 ! Our Grade 3 students did a wonderful job leading our Memorial Day Assembly through prayer, the pledge, and a look back at the history and meaning of Memorial Day. 🌟 To bring the lesson full circle, students met a veteran and a therapy dog, connecting lessons of courage, service, sacrifice, and compassion. 🐕‍🦺 We love giving our students opportunities to experience the many ways people serve others. Today and every day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives for our freedom—and the families who sacrificed alongside them. ❤️🤍💙

What does it take for a community to thrive? 💵
Grade 3 found out through Junior Achievement’s JA Our City! 🙌 Students worked together to build a city, run businesses, solve problems, make financial decisions, and discover how every person plays a role in the success of a community. 💗 Thank you to Beth Burr and Cathy Clar from St. Pius X Federal Credit Union for helping our students learn that great communities are built through collaboration, responsibility, and caring for one another. 💙🏙️✨

🍕 Community. Teamwork. Pizza. Sounds like a perfect day in Grade 2! 🏘️ Led by Lynn Fulmore, Founder of EPIC Trainings and Nazareth Advisory Board member, students explored how businesses, workers, and consumers help a community thrive through Junior Achievement’s, JA Our Community program. 💵 The favorite activity? Running their very own Plenty of Pizza shop! 🍕 Students took orders, worked together, and discovered how everyone has a role in helping a community succeed.

What do we need? What do we want? 💙 Our Kindergarten students participated in Junior Achievement of Central Upstate New York JA Ourselves program where they explored how people make choices and identify what they truly need through stories, discussion, and hands-on activities. 🥗🍫 From food and clothing to toys and treats, students practiced thinking critically about wants versus needs while sharing their ideas with classmates and learning from one another. 💗 A special thank you to Bella Murratore, AQ '26 🎓 for leading this engaging JA in a Day experience for our youngest JA learners! Best of luck at Clemson in the fall, Miss Bella! The Aquinas Institute of Rochester

🔧 Science in action! ⚙️ Mrs. Taylor’s 4th graders put a simple machine to the test as they explored the power of a pulley with Mr. Hayles. By using ropes and wheels to lift weights, students discovered how pulleys help make work easier and more efficient. 🙌 Hands-on learning + curious minds = a great day at Nazareth! 💙

Full circle. 💙 Our 6th graders started the year as our Prayer & Pledge Leaders in September. Today, on June 1, every student at Nazareth has had the opportunity to lead our school community. 🙌 We’re celebrating the growth, confidence, leadership, and faith we've witnessed in every grade level.
