We are thrilled to welcome our new first year class to this week! 🛠🦴 Welcome to the team! We are looking forward to an outstanding next five years and are privileged to train these future leaders in 🙌🏽

Our next chief highlight is Dr. Mark Heidenreich 🦴🔥

Mark hails from Odebolt, IA and came to via and 📚

Mark lives in Rochester w his wife Dr. Leah Heidenreich, their brand new baby girl Nora 👶🏼 and their golden retriever Bovie 🐾

Next year Mark heads to Western University in Ontario for his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship 🔨 then he returns to in 2021 for his Orthopedic Oncology Fellowship! 💪🏼

His favorite spot in Rochester is Newt’s - and in his spare time he likes to get outside 🌳🧗🏼‍♂️☀️

Our next chief highlight is Dr. Christy Christophersen from Empire Township, MN! She joins us via St. Mary’s .



University and . Her favorite wine shop in Rochester is Tessa’s Office 🍷, and she is “still mourning the closure of Marrow.” .



Her favorite adventures in residency have been annual wine tasting trips w/ friends - last year she went to Portugal! Her hobbies include hiking🏔️, yoga, and travel ✈️, and she lives in Rochester with her mini pinscher Persephone Kali Christophersen (or “Perci” for short)🐕‍🦺 .



Next year she heads to the ~other~ Rochester for Foot & Ankle fellowship 🦶We will miss her! @ Rochester, Minnesota

Today's PGY5 highlight is Nathan Wanderman! Originally from Hopkins, MN (home of 🏀) he is by way of (Ski-U-Mah & ). Next year he is headed to Louisville, KY for his Norton Leatherman Spine Fellowship! Wanderman's favorite spot to grab a bite and a 🍻 is , his hobbies are writing music, hiking, and ⛳️ His favorite activity is North Shore hiking, and he lives in Rochester w/ his better half Dr. Robalee Wanderman (also !) @ Mayo Clinic
