Week 1 of Summer Camp (Art Explorations) is off to a great and messy start!

Today we celebrated our wonderful staff that made our 82nd school year an incredible one!

Our staff enjoyed Nupa and Crumble cookies while getting a chance to reminisce on all the fun that was had.

We also got to celebrate really big milestones for some of our staff! Help us congratulate the following teachers on their Aldrich-versary:

5 year: Mrs. Dailey, Mrs. LaForest, Mrs. Petzold, Mrs. Newberg, Mrs. Riggs, and Mrs. Wiens

10 year: Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Rauch

15 year: Mrs. Forliti

We hope our staff enjoys their summer and we can’t wait to see them back in August 🐢☀️

It is time to celebrate all things the magical parts of Aldrich and a successful fundraiser for our Big Playdate Fund. There will be music, bubbles, activities, turtles from Quarry Hill Nature Center, hot Caribou Coffee for the parents, and of course, Flapdoodles Ice Cream for all🍦

🚗 Parking is available in our school lot, but there is additional parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. Walk around the right of the school to find the celebration happening on the playground.

⏳ Our Silent Auction will continue until 11am. We have a fantastic variety of items available, including gift cards, music lessons, gym memberships, yard games, and much more!

We encourage you to bring a 💧water bottle💧 to The Big Playdate; there will also be drinking fountains and water stations available for use.

We will accept 💵 cash or credit card 💳 payments for donations or purchases of Flapdoodles ice cream and ribbon wands 🐢

📸 A photographer will be taking photographs at The Big Playdate on behalf of Aldrich. Attendees consent to being photographed and use of photos by Aldrich.

⭐️Since its inception in 1944, Aldrich School has been committed to being a welcoming place for all preschool students of race, religion, creed, or financial status. Our Big Playdate Fundraising Drive will help replenish our long-established Scholarship Fund and build our Facility Upgrade Fund. Our desire is to bolster this fund to offer the special Aldrich experience to all families and continue the ongoing work of upgrading resources for all our children.

On average ❗️12- 18 students❗️ benefit from assistance through the Aldrich Scholarship Fund each year!

What’s great about the Aldrich Scholarship Fund is that it can consider several factors that other scholarships often don’t, such as (but not limited to) medical debt, school loans and other extenuating circumstances. We encourage all families that are concerned about preschool costs to apply for an Aldrich Scholarship! We believe in the importance of early childhood education and don’t want finances to be the reason someone can’t benefit from Aldrich 🫶
