For our sixth and final Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Ars Ghani (he/him)! π Ars has served on the Council for two years, and graduates with majors in Computational Biology and Psychology. From Karachi, Pakistan, Ars has these words about his ACJC experience: "Being on ACJC was the best and most amazing experience of time at Rochester-- I'd do it a million times over." Lucky for us, Ars will be continuing with the Council for one more year through the Take 5 Program. After his fifth year, Ars plans to attend law school. Go Ars! π

For our fifth Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Connor Sandagata (he/him)! π Connor has served on the Council for three years, and the last two as Chief Justice. He graduates with a major in International Relations and a minor in Economics. From Wallingford, Connecticut, Connor's advice to undergrads is: "Make friends and get to know your professorsβ Rochester is full of interesting and passionate people!" We will miss Connor's leadership and dedication to the Council. Best of luck Connor! π

For our fourth Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Ifeoluwa Adefope (he/him)! π Ife has served on the Council for two years as Deputy Chief Justice, and he graduates with a major in International Relations. From Lagos, Nigeria, Ife says his favorite ACJC memory is the rainy barbecue we had at Anna's last fall! His advice to undergrads is: "Nobody remembers the embarrassing details except you. Put yourself out there!" Ife plans to attend law school or get a job after graduation. We will miss you Ife! π

For our third Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Anna Remus (she/her)! π Anna has served on the Council for three years, and she graduates as a triple major in Anthropology, Spanish, and Archaeology, Technology & Historical Structures. From Des Plaines, Illinois, Anna says her favorite memory as a Justice was grilling in the rain for fall ACJC bonding. Anna also gives advice to undergrads by writing: "Take advantage of the unique opportunities Rochester offers! The class that can only be offered here because it relates to the Rochester community, the flexibility to study multiple things, the hole-in-the-wall coffee shops and impromptu music performances and some of the hidden, beautiful community parks - these are what make the university experience here different than anywhere else. Make the most of it!" Anna is planning on staying in Rochester post-graduation to pursue a doctorate in mechanical engineering under Dr. Renato Perucchio! We will miss you Anna! π

For our second Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Alyssa Nelson (she/her)! β¨ Alyssa has served on the Council for three years, and she graduates as a double major in History and Gender, Sexuality, & Women's Studies. From Victor, New York, Alyssa is most grateful to the Council for the relationships it has given her. Fellow Justices have become very close friends, and the opportunity to create these meaningful connections was very valuable. Alyssa gives advice to undergrads by writing: "Never underestimate the impact you can have by engaging in student advocacy. Serving and aiding your fellow students is one of the biggest gifts you can give to the University, and always strive to improve and remain a compassionate student. Meliora!" Alyssa is traveling to Graz, Austria next to complete a US Teaching Assistantship as a part of Fulbright Austria! Then, in the fall of 2022, Alyssa will enter Boston College Law School. Go Eagles! Thank you for everything Alyssa! π

For our first Senior Spotlight, we are congratulating Lianna Creedon (she/her)! π Lianna has served on the Council for three years, and she graduates with majors in International Relations & Economics and a minor in Russian. From Glastonbury, Connecticut, Lianna recalls her experience as a Justice as a positive one. She writes: "Getting to know my fellow justices, as well as the various faculty members and administrators that we work with on a regular basis, has been a fantastic experience that has really shaped the entirety of my time here at the University of Rochester." Lianna is planning on staying in Rochester post-graduation to complete a Master's degree in Economics! Thank you for all you've done Lianna! π

Congratulations to the ACJC Class of 2021! Our six seniors (Alyssa, Anna, Ars, Connor, Ife, and Lianna) were honored to take a photo with President Mangelsdorf last Thursday as a part of UR Commencement. π We will be posting spotlights on our wonderful seniors soon!
