BIG NEWS! Legislation to enable Dental Hygienists to administer block anesthesia, through state certification, has passed both the NYS Assembly and Senate! Thank you to the bill sponsors, Assembly Member Amy Paulin and Senator Pete Harckham. Next steps: The bill goes to the Governor for signature and State Education Commissioner regulations are developed. The bill takes effect one year after it becomes law (after signing). Information on the education component will be shared once it is established! 🎊
