Summer Music for Kids Home-schooled students are definitely included. Instruments will be provided, as necessary, to students, at no cost to the student. Meet our music faculty!

Summer Music for Kids, is happy to announce that beginning with the summer of 2022 we will be offering music programs, at no cost to students, for students who will be entering 5th grade in the Rochester, Stockbridge, Hancock, Granville, VT area. Summer Music for Kids, a newly incorporated Vermont Domestic Non-profit corporation formed by local musicians in the Rochester/Stockbridge area, is happy

to announce that beginning with the summer of 2022 we will be offering music lessons, at no cost to students, for all students who will be entering 5th grade in the Rochester, Stockbridge, Hancock, Granville area in the fall of 2022. Lessons will take place at the Rochester Elementary School on Wednesday mornings, June 22 and 29, July 6, 20 and 27, and August 3rd. Each student will receive an individual lesson, followed by a group Enrichment session, and then an attempt for the students to play together. All the students will be given nutritious snacks – on arrival, after the individual lesson, and just before leaving for home at around noon. Our expert instrumental music teachers are: Scott Paulson (percussion, trumpet, trombone), Barbara Smith (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone), and Emily Sunderman (violin and cello). Our Enrichment teachers include Holly Mugford Bermingham and Ethan Bowen. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for young students to learn to play a musical instrument – at no cost to the student or the student’s family. For more information, send an email to [email protected], or talk to Susan Bushnell, (Rochester), or Bill Edgerton, (Stockbridge). Great day at camp yesterday! A little steamy. Holly Mugford-Bermingham was fantastic facilitating the creation of the decorations for our parade float for the Rochester 4th of July parade! Thank you, Burleigh, for bringing games that kept our kiddos out of the heat, and to the Arts Bus for indoor crafts and activities. As always, thanks to the Valley HUB.
