NYS DCJS just released the requirements for the 16 hours of classroom training and 2 hours of live fire for new pistol permit applications starting sept 1st. Our instructors comprise of certified NY DCJS and NRA instructors and we will be putting these on the schedule as soon as we can pending the results of Tuesday’s court hearing.

The age old debate: Speed or accuracy?
Short answer, both.
It’s imperative to know when to throttle it up or throttle it down based on ability, size of target, and distance.
If it takes you all day to hit a target, nobody cares. If you can rip rounds and not hit anything, nobody cares.

[Re]Education - One of the most important realizations you can make in your self-protection journey is not only do skillsets being taught change but that your skills are perishable. A few of our team had the pleasure of taking a Red Dot Instructor class with because even as instructors we always have something to learn.
Students that come to classes with closed minds do themselves a disservice and typically distract other students from learning.
Get out and train!
