We have a full house in the studio this morning, and in fact, classes are brimming over and we are adding a new class!

Driftless Art Kids work hard to develop their skills, preparing for Driftless Art Academy's oil painting program. These kids all have the potential to be painting at a professional level by the time they start high school.

Before, and after! I could not be more proud of full-time student who is becoming an incredible artist. Elizabeth would confirm that she earned her talent through perseverance, knowledge, and experience. She is taking commissions and continuing to refine her skills in my studio. She has a strong future in art! You could make a good choice in becoming an early collector of her work.

Excited to have received the Susanna Aitchison MacSporran Memorial Scholarship with the Oil Painters of America! The scholarship is awarded to someone who wants to pursue portraiture. The 2 paintings are the ones I submitted.

Driftless Art Academy full-time student Elizabeth is off and running on her first, fully self-chosen master copy, this one of Adélaïde Labille Guiard's Self Portrait with Two Pupils. The original of this painting hangs in The Met in New York City.

Xinzhu is doing her first work in gradients, and is already doing them beautifully!

This is a sign of good things going on at Driftless Art Academy!
