Instructor Bio: Bethany Reaves has been a harpist since 2006 studying continuously for 6 years under the instruction of Nella Rigell, principal harpist for the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra. The majority of her musical studies have concentrated on classical harp with some Celtic harp experience. Bethany has experience as the harpist with The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra of Atlanta for two seasons (2008-2009, 2009-2010) as well as two professional performances with The Atlanta Philharmonic (2010, 2011). Bethany is also a Certified Music Practitioner through The Music For Healing and Transition Program where she completed a certification to provide therapeutic music at the bedside. Completing her internship at The Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, GA, Bethany continues to share her passion for the power of music with the harp: a universal language spoken by one of the world’s oldest instruments.
