Warriors with a heart for service!

Rochester Christian University baseball players volunteered at Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers’ annual golf outing in September, helping prepare signs, carry golf equipment and set up activities.

Thank you to freshmen Trevor Carlton, Nick Heimes and Peyton Rich, and sophomore Ryder Zeiman for representing RCU so well!

“The students were very polite and so helpful,” said Clare Brinkman, IVC’s outreach and events assistant. “We really cannot thank them enough. We are so grateful for this partnership.”

At RCU, students gain the knowledge to lead and the heart to serve others, reflecting Christ’s love and making a lasting impact in their communities.

Today’s second annual Crossroads to Medicine conference helped students learn more about healthcare. They heard from a paramedic/EMT, a physician’s assistant, a doctor, a clinical psychologist, a dentist, and faculty from RCU’s School of Nursing & Allied Health.

Crossroads to Medicine is an undergraduate-led movement built on one belief: you don’t need to have your path figured out; you just need somewhere to start. CTM helps students get their foot in the door, connect with people already in healthcare, and discover the path that ignites their spark. What a great event!

Rochester Christian University will honor the Clarke family for its generous gift to name the Lyle and Jean Clarke School of Education in ceremonies on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The naming honors Lyle and Jean Clarke’s lifelong commitment to education, faith and service. The couple’s children, all RCU alumni, surprised their parents with the gift and naming in June 2026 in honor of their 75th wedding anniversary.

A long-time educator and coach, Tim Morton, multi-area director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Southeast Michigan, will be the featured speaker. The world’s largest sports ministry, FCA’s mission is to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and his church. Morton has been full-time with the ministry since 2018. He and his staff of 10 currently serve over 50 collegiate, high school and middle school campuses.

Guests are welcome to attend the events. Chapel begins at 11:10 a.m. in the Alumni Center Auditorium, followed by a reception at 11:45 a.m. and a ribbon-cutting at 12:15 p.m.
