RCU's Master of Sport Leadership students recently completed an immersive intensive across Oklahoma, gaining behind-the-scenes access to some of the nation's top collegiate, professional and civic sports organizations.
From meeting with athletic leaders at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University and Oklahoma Christian University to connecting with the Oklahoma City Thunder, USA Softball, the OKC Comets, RiverSport, MTM Recognition and more, students explored leadership, operations, NIL, facility management, event planning and the growing impact of sports on communities.
The experience also included visits to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Oklahoma City National Memorial, and conversations with city and community leaders helping shape OKC's future as a global sports destination — including preparations to host softball and canoe slalom for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Experiential learning is at the heart of RCU's Master of Sport Leadership program, equipping students with real-world insights, meaningful industry connections and the leadership skills to make an impact in the world of sports.
