Our GSRP students explored self portraits using mirrors, paper, and markers as they carefully observed their own unique features and represented themselves through drawing. 🪞🎨 This open ended experience encouraged observation, self expression, and learning through the hundred languages. We will revisit this experience at the end of the year to create another self portrait and reflect on how their ideas, representations, and skills have grown. 💛

Our Summer Camp kiddos took a closer look at the sunflowers from our playground by exploring the seeds, petals, stem, and different textures. As they investigated, they practiced making observations, asked questions, built new vocabulary, and learned about the parts of a plant. The best learning experiences are often the simplest! 🌻
