There's a very strong story society keeps repeating: the boss queen, the one in charge, all grit and sacrifice. Women and men who can do it all with little to no support. And while overcoming odds is inspiring, the pressure is exhausting—and frankly, dangerous.

Yes, independence matters. But the story that you have to do it alone? That's false.
Asking for help isn't weakness—it's awareness. Accepting support isn't failure—it's growth. Working with others isn't dependency—it's how we're wired.

You were never meant to do this alone.

Who's in your circle? Tag someone who helps you remember you're not alone.

November is all about gratitude. You see messages everywhere about how being grateful is good for you. And it is—but only when it's real.

Saying you're grateful because you have to, because it's the right thing to do, or because you're worried about how it looks? That's fake gratefulness. And it backfires.

Forced gratitude creates resentment. Inauthentic gratitude adds to feelings of shame and guilt. When you pretend to be thankful for something you don't actually feel grateful for, it builds disconnection—from yourself and others.

Here's an example: everyone talks about being grateful for family during the holidays. But what if your family isn't particularly loving or supportive? You don't have to force it. Instead, focus on what actually matters to you—specific traditions, favorite dishes, moments that feel genuinely good.

Gratitude is powerful, but only when it's authentic.

What are you authentically grateful for this November?

❤️

It seems "easier" to be stuck in fear or anxiety, paralyzed by self-doubt. Lack of action feels "safe" because it's familiar.

You give in to constant questioning of your own abilities and stay where you are because what if you really aren't ready or enough? You listen to the inner critic who often sounds like someone you know... and that feels familiar, so you let self-doubt keep you small.

But the truth is, self-doubt often doesn't have any substance. Those are just words spoken by another, often broken, person. It's like a wall of smoke that prevents you from seeing what's on the other side. Self-doubt stays strong as long as you don't challenge it. Once you start allowing yourself time to grow and learn, acknowledge your struggles, and believe you can at least try, things will shift.

Instead of listening and giving in to self-doubt, create the opposite narrative—one that could be true.

Self-doubt sounds final.
Self-love favors forward movement and growth.

Many often consider January 1st as a great time to start working on goals and pick the 1st as a starting point. Unfortunately, too many do not stick to the New Year’s resolution, and by February a lot of people lose interest, energy, or motivation. Gym memberships get forgotten, running shoes get tucked into the back of the closet, bookmarks get stuck in the middle never to be moved again, diets get overtaken by moods, and so on.

How can you ensure you do not lose the momentum in the New Year?

First, spend some time imagining the person that is doing the things that you want to do. Think about yourself in terms of who you are (or want to be) and not what you are doing. Instead of saying “I am going to run every day” you say “I am a runner.” It's not about the actions, but about becoming the person who takes those actions.

Second, create a realistic plan that takes into consideration your lifestyle and capabilities. If you want to run 5 miles every day, you need to start with .5 or maybe just walking daily. Too quickly and too much can cause feelings of shame and embarrassment.

Third, surround yourself with people who inspire and support your goals. You want to have people around you who can remind you about your goal and the reason behind it. They can cheer you on when you succeed and move forward or can support you when you fail or lose momentum. Comparison can hinder your progress.

Lastly, your goals and New Year’s resolutions should align with your values and beliefs. Authentic goals are easier to accomplish because you do not have to question the “why” behind it. You can dream big but every dream can be divided into smaller and attainable goals that can help you move forward.

What is the one goal you want to accomplish in 2025 and are ready to start today?

Have you ever tried to convince yourself that bad things didn't happen to you? It's easy to make excuses or downplay the impact of neglect, abuse, or abandonment. But facing the truth is the first step towards healing. It's a lot harder to admit that something bad happened than to ignore the pain and shame.

Denial can make you blind to the reality of your experiences. You might minimize the impact of trauma or convince yourself that it wasn't that bad.

Numbing is a way of avoiding your feelings. You might turn to substances, excessive work, or unhealthy relationships to distract yourself.

Superficial healing is like putting a bandage on a deep wound. It might involve surface-level changes, like forgiving someone or moving on, but it doesn't address the underlying pain.

Avoidance is a way of escaping from your emotions. You might isolate yourself, avoid social situations, or engage in activities that keep you busy.

Denial, numbing, and avoidance might seem like quick fixes, but they can actually prolong our suffering.
While these coping mechanisms might provide temporary relief, they don't bring long-lasting healing. To truly heal, you need to face your emotions and address the underlying pain.

Healing takes time, patience, and courage. You may need to seek support from others. Remember, you're not alone in this. There are people who care about you and want to help you heal. Reach out.

Let's break free from denial, numbing, and avoidance and find healing to build a brighter future.

Ready to take the next step towards healing? Share your experiences and let's support each other on this journey.

Self-care has been a buzzword for a while now. Bubble baths, park walks, exercising, drinking water, and eating right are all great—but they might not work for everyone.

Employers, neighbors, coworkers, even the clerk at the local store might swear by their own advice. But what if none of it fits? What if taking time off makes you feel guilty? What if baths make you uncomfortable? What if a park walk isn’t safe or available? What if you don’t even like tea?

Trying to force someone else’s idea of self-care can have the opposite effect. It’s easy to wonder, ‘What’s wrong with me?’ or ask, ‘If this works for others, why doesn’t it work for me?’

It's important to try new things, but it's just as important to accept that not everything works the same way for everyone.

So, try self-care your way. Maybe it’s mowing the lawn, taking a boxing class, going for a ride with no destination, dancing in your living room, or baking something.

Whatever it is, it should allow you to connect with yourself—without judgment, expectations, or guilt.

What form of self-care are you going to try today?

In the self-help space, accountability has become a buzzword, but what does it really mean?

It really doesn’t matter what it is. You keep telling yourself the same story… it's time to challenge this.

“I can’t try.”
You keep coming up with new excuses: “I don’t have enough____ (time, motivation, money, resources, support, etc.).” Your focus is on the reasons not to try something new. Most often, the real reason is much deeper than the seemingly reasonable excuses. It is often fear (wrapped in anxiety, shame, or insecurity).
But what if… you allowed yourself to try even though you don’t have enough____ (time, motivation, money, resources, support, etc.)? What if you allowed yourself to try despite fear? What if you allowed yourself to make mistakes and admit you don’t know everything… yet?
Challenge your thoughts and start small without the pressure of getting things 100% right.

“I can’t start.”
You might be telling yourself that you are too old, it is too late, or this is not the right moment. You have this imaginary timeline in your mind and anything outside of it is deemed “impossible.” Most often, the barrier is self-made and not as solid as you might think.
But what if… you started anyway? What could happen if you challenged your own stereotypes? What if you allowed yourself to start without the expectations of having everything figured out?
Challenge your biases and think only about the next step, keeping a general direction in mind.

“I can’t stop.”
You continue doing things that do not bring value to your life because that’s what you’ve always done. You've settled into patterns, behaviors, and habits that are sometimes harmful or ineffective. Most often, you feel stuck in what is not working because you don’t know there is another way.
But what if… you changed anyway? What would happen if you replaced ineffective habits and behaviors with something else? What would happen if you sought support and leaned on others for guidance?
Challenge your way of doing things, especially if they don’t align with your values.

Values can change… so can you.

Trauma doesn’t always leave visible scars. For many, childhood trauma is the absence of something important—protection, love, and support from caregivers.

How do unfulfilled childhood needs show up in adulthood?

You pride yourself on being independent.
You are not afraid to be alone as you are used to meeting your own needs. You don’t rely on others, nor do you crave deep interpersonal connections. While you have friends and are seen as friendly, you've never truly let anyone in. Even in closer relationships, you remain guarded and never fully vulnerable.

Emotions don’t affect you. Over the years, you've learned to mask your feelings, presenting a calm exterior. You are quiet and collected and rarely show emotions (good or bad). You don’t actually process your emotions, but either dismiss or bury them deep down leaving them unexplored and unresolved.

Your life is full of successes. You achieved a lot of great things in personal and professional life. However, your drive isn't fueled by internal satisfaction. You are always seeking external validation, hiding your struggle with self-esteem and self-worth.

You are knowledgeable about different subjects and have various hobbies. Some may label these interests as addictions but they’re socially acceptable and under control. However, these hobbies or interests are a distraction from inner pain and feelings of inadequacy.

So, what's next? How do you move forward?

Working with a mental health professional can be transformative. They can guide you through processing both past traumas and present emotions, and teach you strategies or healthier coping mechanisms.

Self-care is important. It involves more than self-preservation; it’s about nurturing yourself in ways you have never experienced—offering yourself the love, attention, and respect you’ve always needed.

Building genuine connections is critical. True relationships are built on mutual trust and respect, allowing you to feel genuinely loved and supported. It's important to let down your guard and embrace vulnerability for truly fulfilling relationships.

You hear almost everyone talking about setting boundaries.
Setting boundaries is really important, but sometimes it might feel mean or selfish, especially if you're not sure how to do it or if no one has shown you how before.

If you are hesitant about setting boundaries and worry that it will push your family/friends away, here are some things to think about:

Saying boundaries can feel strict or harsh. If it feels that way, try using the word "guidelines" instead. Think of guidelines as instructions in a manual that describe what is important to you and what you need to work properly. Guidelines explain what is acceptable and unacceptable. They show where your limits are and tell others how they need to treat you. You can set guidelines for different areas of your life, like your emotions, body, work/career, or your relationship.

As you grow, you will feel more confident, learn how to better communicate your needs, and become better at managing your own emotions and thoughts. As you grow, you can change/adjust your boundaries. Boundaries aren't fixed. They can shift and adapt based on different situations, what's happening in your life, or the kinds of friendships and relationships you have. It's okay to adjust them as you change and learn.

Setting boundaries can protect you from toxic people and harmful circumstances They help you focus on what you need to thrive. Having clear boundaries can actually make your relationships better. They make sure everyone knows what to expect because you talk honestly about what you need. Since people come from different places and have different beliefs and values, boundaries help you explain how you want to be treated and what is important to you.

Examples of Personal Boundaries:
- Choosing not to respond to work emails or messages outside of work hours.
- Deciding who can see your posts and personal information on social media platforms.
- Saying no to additional responsibilities when you're feeling overwhelmed/stressed.
- Opting out of activities that might exacerbate a health issue or choosing to abstain from substances like alcohol/caffeine.

People often want to feel more confident. They look up to those who talk easily and seem relaxed around others. They wish they could feel that comfortable in groups or talk easily about anything.

Confidence is so much more than being loud or talkative….

Confident people don't always wait for others to say 'good job' before they feel good about what they do. Confidence is about knowing and doing what is right without the need for validation or approval from others. It's often about quiet actions that make a difference, not just getting loud applause.

Confident people are not afraid to fail. It's about knowing you might not always get it right, but still trying, because that's how you achieve things. It is about trying things, failing, and improving rather than always knowing and having the right answers.

Confident people work well with others. They recognize their strengths and know what they are good at. Confidence is about knowing your worth and being able to recognize the value others bring to the table. It’s about being part of a team rather than one person doing everything disregarding the team’s input.

Confidence can be loud, assertive, and extroverted, but it can also be quiet, vulnerable, and humble.

What does “confidence’ mean to you?
