Attention all 1970 graduates of Wilcox County High in Rochelle. Through discussions with several class members we have decided to postpone our October 24th, 2020 50th class reunion because of the continued threat of the COVID-19 corona virus. We feel rather than put some in danger of being possibly infected that it would be best to wait until the virus has run it's course or is on the decline. Disappointing I know, but our safety comes first. When a future date is determined to be safe I will post the information on this page so please keep checking in. Any comments on this decision, for, or against, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Class!

Dear Class of 1970,
It’s time to start planning our 50th Anniversary for 2020. Maybe we need to plan for September. Some of us would love to be there and smell those peanuts being dug, the smell of dirt. Also, October could be a cooler month to meet.
We had such a good turn out last year that it seems like a good idea to have our reunion at the Ag Center again in 2020. We have volunteers to help decorate and plan. We will pay servers and cleaners. Hopefully we can meet after the first of the year to make more detailed plans. Any interest and ideas please contact us.

Well, the class reunion was very successful with 80+ people there. Good to see our some of our great administrators and "old" classmates and friends.
Now it's time start work on our 50th in two years.

Hello again fellow 1970 grads and friends. Here is the invitation letter we're trying to get out to all of our classmates and whoever else wants to come to our reunion on August 4th...

"Attention Wilcox County Class of 1970!
Plans have been finalized to allow the Steakhouse of Hawkinsville to cater a buffet for our 48th class reunion as follows:
Time: Saturday, August 4, 2018
Place: Newt Hudson Ag Center, Rochelle, GA
Menu: Fried chicken, baked ham, creamed potatoes, green beans, peas, garden salad, rolls, peach cobbler, iced tea, and water.

Cost: $20.00 per person. This includes the cost for the meal, fee for renting the Ag center, and decorations for the occasion. Should there be any excess money, it will be donated to the Wilcox County School's Christian Learning Center.

The Steakhouse must receive our payment and total number of people attending one week prior to the reunion; therefore, please respond with your payment by July, 27, 2018.
