CONGRATULATIONS 🎉 TO THE ROBSTOWN COTTON PICKERS. And a SPECIAL RECOGNITION GOES TO COACH Rusty Miller and the Coaching Staff during those two season’s while he was here in Robstown. Such an award has NEVER been given to this program in its history. A truly remarkable achievement for this towns baseball program here in ROBSTOWN!

Congratulations to the 2026 Robstown Cotton Picker Baseball Team on earning the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the second consecutive season!

This prestigious national award recognizes high school baseball programs whose student-athletes excel both academically and athletically. The 2026 Cotton Pickers earned an impressive 3.36 cumulative team GPA, making them one of only 23 high school baseball teams in Texas to receive this honor.

We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and coaching staff for demonstrating that success extends far beyond the baseball diamond.

Friday Night Lights are almost back!

Robstown ISD is proud to honor our senior citizens with a Golden Age Pass, which provides FREE general admission to all Robstown ISD home athletic events.

If you're 65 years or older, stop by Central Office Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM to receive your pass.

To receive a Golden Age Pass:
✔️ Must be 65 years of age or older
✔️ Must present a valid state-issued ID

Already have a Golden Age Pass? Great news! Your current pass is good for life, so there's no need to get a new one unless it has been lost or needs to be replaced.

We look forward to seeing you in the stands this season. Go Red!

Service Information for Mr. Richard Gillespie.

We invite our Cotton Picker family and friends to join us in honoring and celebrating the life of Mr. Richard Gillespie.

Visitation will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 14521 Northwest Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78410, on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A Committal Service will take place at Funeraria del Angel–Memorial Park, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX 78380, on Monday, July 20, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Robstown Athletics, Grace United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.

Please continue to keep the Gillespie family in your thoughts and prayers as we honor the life and legacy of a true Cotton Picker whose impact on our community will never be forgotten.

Mr. Richard Gillespie, LONGTIME STATISTICIAN has passed away at his home in Robstown yesterday afternoon. I encourage all of the ROBSTOWN 10TH PLAYER to pray for his family as they go through this difficult tragedy. Mr. Gillespie was covering all Robstown Cotton Picker sports for over 45 plus years of HONORABLE SERVICE. My friend, you will be greatly missed! Rest In Peace my friend, as you are safely in the arms of God 🙏
