Blue Belt and Black Belt pre test workout will be this Saturday 8-9:30. If you plan to test this would be a good prep. This is optional and is available to all blue and black belts that would like to attend the workout will focus on test material. Pants and T-shirt is acceptable dress.

Here is an Awesome opportunity for any Red belt or higher rank that is looking to level up. ATR- Advanced Training Retreat is hosted each year by the Birmingham Academy of Martial Arts. The location is great the training is next level and there are plenty of fun activities planned too. You can sign up in the dojang by scanning the QR me code. If you have any questions see Master Tucker he is glad to explain everything. This event is also approved as the advanced training needed to test for Blackbelt and subsequent Blackbelt level levels. Past camps have included training in sword,staff,Escrima,Kama and knife. Other areas covered have been “tricking”, ground fighting, sparring strategies, judo, Krav Maga, archery, hiking, canoeing, ropes course, movie night, scavenger hunt and much more.

I’m always asked if I offer private lessons and the answer is yes. But private lessons are expensive and often because the student is much smaller than the instructor it is hard to actually work with each other on some material like self defense, one steps, ground defense etc…. A more affordable solution is small group semi private lessons. These sessions will be made up of students very close in age and rank. And at 1/3 the price. Ask Master Tucker soon if you’re interested in booking a private or semi private lesson as spots are limited.

Color Belt testing is scheduled for September 26th 8:00am-11:00am. Black Belt and Cho Dan Bo testing will follow at 11:30 beginning with the 1 mile run. Master Tucker will be holding rank specific semi private test prep for those that want a little extra training. If you would like 1 on 1 training with him please call or text him at 251-747-3454. All students must be in traditional white uniform to test..no exceptions.

October/Gulf Shores- be there

THIS SATURDAY: Tournament #4 (Central Division) is in Sylacauga at the J Craig Smith Community Center.

Same rules, same divisions, same setup. Consistency is what validates a Championship.

We're looking forward to seeing all of the friends we've already made AND to meeting new competitors who have said they're coming.

Let me take a moment and give a big thank you to Mr. Matt Roeder. Sometimes its the small things that make the biggest difference and Mr. Roeder sent me the perfect message at the perfect time. He knows what I'm talking about, so I'll leave that between us.
