The other day I reached out to the DNPE asking specific questions on what I needed to teach/requirements for graduation when the time comes. My email was specific on asking if I had to teach certain subjects/ if my child had to have certain subjects in order to graduate, for example I asked if In the state of NC I had to teach my children algebra, geometry, certain sciences ETC and you can see from there response in their email to me was that if a student desires to go to college certain requirements are needed, if college IS NOT the goal then YOU as the teacher decide completely what you would like to teach and what requirements you would like your student to achieve for graduation. Hopefully this information is helpful I know it was for me! If you have questions it would probably be best to reach out to the DNPE if you are unsure or you can visit the questions and answers page on there websiteā¤ļø

On Thursdays the local library offers story time for children 6 and under ( older siblings are welcome) they also have a great childrenā€™s area AND homeschoolers get to keep checked out books for longer times which is super helpful!
