🌱 ASK EXTENSION: “Do I really need a soil test?”

Short answer: YES! 🧑‍🌾🌻

Before you add fertilizer, lime, or other amendments to your garden, a soil test can tell you what your soil actually needs.

🔎 A soil test can help you:
✅ Know your soil’s pH
✅ Determine available nutrients
✅ Avoid applying fertilizer your plants don’t need
✅ Save money on unnecessary amendments
✅ Create the best growing conditions for your vegetables, flowers, and other plants

Think of a soil test as a health checkup for your garden! 🌿

Instead of guessing what your soil needs, test it first and fertilize with confidence.

📩 Have a gardening or agriculture question? Ask Extension! Our Extension team is here to help you make informed decisions and grow with confidence.

🌱 What’s your garden question? Send us a message or stop by our office at 39 South Main Street!
