Today, 8th grade ELA created “found poems”, where students took words, phrases, and letters from nonpoetic contexts to create their own poetry! Ask your student how it went today, and if they would like to make an example for you at home. This is a super fun activity to do together; you can use newspaper clippings, trash, magazines, anything! Here are some wonderful highlights from class today, what an absolute blast they had!
