Thank You to Our Amazing Community!

A huge thank-you to all of our wonderful volunteers and generous donors who helped make our Back-to-School Giveaway possible!

Your support helped 325 individuals get ready for a successful school year. We gave out 159 backpacks and 60 hygiene kits, as well as hundreds of pieces of gently used and new clothing and shoes.

We are so grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered, and helped make this event a success!

The Eldon Inn wasn't always home to the library!

Until the mid-1980s, the historic Eldon Inn still had apartments for residents. And here's the interesting part—residents would actually walk through the library to reach their sleeping rooms on the third floor!

Join us at the Roaring Spring Community Library on Saturday, September 12 at 10:30 am for Snuggles & Paws for Reading (formerly Story Tails)! Children will have the opportunity to read to and spend time with certified therapy dogs!

If you are a fruit grower in Pennsylvania with crop losses from the April 2026 freeze, you can apply for up to $10 million in state relief through the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture starting August 24, 2026. For federal assistance, contact your local USDA Farm Service Agency office or crop insurance agent immediately to file a notice of loss.
