Mini World Child Care - Botetourt

BOTH locations will open at 8 AM tomorrow January 30, 2026 (closing normal time 6PM).

This gives our opening crew extra time (and daylight) to get to work safely.

We WILL be serving breakfast! 🥞

We ask that you continue to use caution in our lots and on sidewalks. We look forward to seeing you all soon 💙🥶

BOTH locations will open at 9 AM tomorrow January 29, 2026 and will close at normal time (6PM). Breakfast WILL NOT be served.

We want all of our parents to know that the parking lots, at both locations, are FAR from what we would like them to be. We kindly ask that if you do drop your children off, you take extra precautions when entering and exiting the lot, entering and exiting your vehicle, and entering and exiting our facilities.

Our Botetourt location has been our toughest hurdle. As of now, we can only offer a drive thru drop off. We understand this isn’t ideal but to be able to provide our families with care, this will be the only way. Staff will be present to greet you and your children at the entrance of the building. Please note that this line may be long at times so we ask that you plan for delays. We ask that you DO NOT enter the parking lot until 9 AM, as our staff are trying to arrive and attempt to park their vehicles.

We are hoping that the ☀️ will work in our favor throughout the day to allow for normal pickup procedures. Please stay tuned for further information on that tomorrow.

I want to also thank EVERY individual that spent HOURS of their own time to help get our lots up and running. At times it seemed impossible. Turns out our village is a little bigger than we thought. Our own little “mini world” maybe.

This isn’t a decision we take lightly. While the main roads are mostly clear and dry, there are still MANY secondary roads that remain impassable. While we have staff from Catawba to Buchanan, we also provide care to families that live further outside of those limits.

We are still having both parking lots worked on and we will spend tomorrow preparing and treating the sidewalks and walkways for our families.

We understand that being closed another day may be frustrating to some but please know we are working diligently behind the scenes so that we can see you all on Thursday!

We care about keeping everyone—big and small—safe, and we don’t want anyone out on the roads if it isn’t absolutely necessary.
