Our Culinary students are jumping right into the kitchen and getting to do what they love.. COOK!

With Chef Reeves guiding them along the way, students are learning new techniques, building their skills, and getting plenty of practice turning ingredients into something delicious. It’s still early in the year, but these future chefs are already keeping the kitchen busy!

We can’t wait to see what they cook up next!

The kids at ROTEC are already getting into the swing of things!

Our Cosmetology students are getting comfortable in the salon, learning the basics of working with hair, practicing techniques, and building the skills they’ll need to turn their creativity into a career. Meanwhile, our Automotive students are getting their hands dirty in the shop, learning how to properly remove and install tires, use the equipment, and get familiar with the tools and skills that keep vehicles safely on the road.

And this is just the beginning! It’s still early in the school year, and our students are already learning, practicing, and figuring out what they’re capable of. We can’t wait to watch their confidence grow, their skills develop, and see where they go from here!

Today, ROTEC joined PH in an “Underground Theme Day” to celebrate the life, legacy, and BIG heart of the one and only Dolly Parton!

Dolly has given the world so much music, laughter, kindness, and perhaps most importantly, her incredible commitment to education and helping children succeed. From the Imagination Library to countless efforts supporting schools and students, Dolly has shown us that investing in kids is one of the greatest gifts we can give.

So today, we traded our usual ROTEC gear for a little Dolly inspired fun because if there’s one thing we know at ROTEC, it’s that learning can be fun, and you can absolutely do it with a little sparkle!

Our students aren’t the only ones excited for the first day, our teachers and staff have been counting down too! There’s something about seeing your classroom ready, hearing those first “Hey, I haven’t seen you all summer!” conversations, and having all the kids back in the building that just makes it feel like a new beginning.

Of course, the first day comes with a little excitement, a little chaos and a LOT of questions!

We’re ready for another year of learning, creating, building, cooking, designing, coding, welding, styling, and doing all the things that make ROTEC such a special place.

New year. New students. New goals. New memories. Same ROTEC crew ready to make it happen! Welcome back, everyone! Let’s make this one a GREAT year!

We were honored to have Superintendent Dr. White join ROTEC and DAYTEC yesterday for our CTE Convocation as we kicked off another exciting school year!

During the convocation, Dr. White was presented with a very special gift, a beautiful lamp created especially for her during our Dream It, Build It, Work It Camp this summer! What better way to showcase what CTE is all about than with something designed and built by our talented students and campers?

Thank you, Dr. White, for joining us and for your continued support of Career & Technical Education. We’re excited for another great year of learning, creating, building, and preparing students for their futures!

As we gear up for another exciting school year, the staffs of ROTEC and DAYTEC came together for our annual CTE Convocation. This was a chance to reconnect, collaborate, and get inspired for the year ahead.

Career & Technical Education is all about preparing students for their futures, and that starts with passionate educators who are committed to making a difference every single day. Today’s time together was filled with new ideas, shared experiences, and a reminder that we’re all working toward the same goal: helping our students discover their potential and build successful futures.
