EMS for Children Program (EMSC) launches the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project, starting with a webinar on April 23rd! Children have unique physiological responses to illness and injury that differ from those of adults. However, according to national data, approximately 80% of prehospital agencies see fewer than 8 pediatric patients per month, which makes it challenging for EMS providers to develop and maintain pediatric care competencies.
Launching on May 1st, an online assessment will allow EMS agencies to develop a picture of their current pediatric readiness and identify areas for improvement. Click the link below to learn more
TOMORROW! Join a webinar about pediatric readiness for EMS/fire-rescue as part of the federal "EMS Focus" series. The webinar is a great chance to learn about the upcoming prehospital assessment!
