We want to take the time to thank all the folks who threw a little money each Saturday in our tip jar, it makes a difference! We are now going on 21 years this Oct. and it’s hard to believe it’s been that long. We had no idea that we would be still doing this, but the need is great! It’s great after we hear from the parents how important music is in their child’s emotional well being. It’s great because for some reason they are cutting the, art, theater, music. And the kids need an outlet to have their own voices and the arts do this, we know this.
As far as the music end that’s where we come in. Get music instruments in parts of the communities that need it the most, for FREE.
Each and every Saturday (if I am in town) I am at the Habitat store here in Roanoke for an info table. This one times this little kid, maybe 10 with a cowboy hat way too big said, “I got something for you”. I said something like ok I will be in the back. This little kid came up to the table and threw in a dollar. So I had to say thank you of course.
Also one more thing, The Habitat store here in Roanoke has gleefully taken the Feel Good Tour way beyond what Al and me every think we could reach. And because of them we are sending pallets of musical instruments to parts of VA, WV., NC. Our gratitude and grateful appreciation to Joe and Bret and Eddy and the whole crew, thank you!
