We are incredibly grateful for the positive feedback received from our recent RT in HEART teleconference continuing education workshop, Rewiring Through Play: Neuroplastic Power Tools in Recreational Therapy.
With 297 attendees, outstanding engagement ratings, and so many meaningful comments about practical application, connection, and experiential learning — we are reminded how powerful play, neuroplasticity, and relational safety truly are in the healing process.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and shared your energy with us. We are excited to continue bringing practical “Power Tools” into recreational therapy, mental health, and trauma-responsive programming!

Feeling incredibly honored and excited to have the opportunity to present at the 2026 ATRA Southern California Conference alongside an amazing collaborative team!
Our post-conference workshop, Power Tools for Neuroplasticity: From Experiential Engagement to Clinical and Programmatic Change, will focus on practical, experiential strategies that build belonging, emotional regulation, connection, and behavior change through structured intervention and therapeutic recreation principles.
This work represents so much of what we are passionate about — helping people create meaningful change through engagement, reflection, practice, connection, and neuroscience-informed approaches. We are excited to share tools that clinicians, educators, recreation therapists, behavioral health professionals, and community providers can immediately apply within their own settings.
Huge gratitude to ATRA Southern California for this opportunity and to our incredible collaborative partners at Playful Pathways and The ReSolve Center. We cannot wait to connect, learn, and grow together in California!
