A reminder that packet pickup for the Backpack Run is today at RunAbout Sports Roanoke (Franklin Rd near Montanos) from 4-6 p.m. If you can't come to packet pickup, we will have a limited time for packet pickup tomorrow morning -- please arrive no later than 8:15 a.m. at Green Hill Park.

We also will accept late registrations at packet pickup and before the race -- $45 per person for the 5K and $65 per person for the 10K (no discounts accepted).

The 2026 Backpack Run is just over a week away! Can't join us in-person on March 21? No problem! Register for the virtual 5K, 10K or the Backpack Challenge. You'll get the same finisher medal(s) as our in-person races and you can do so at your own time, place and pace (you don't have to report your times - it's all on the honor system).
