The Community Arboretum is a two-acre educational garden located on the campus of Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Virginia.
Eleven separate gardens and plant collections surround a centrally located amphitheater and are home to approximately 700 labeled plant taxa.

Sadly, our poinsettia sale has been canceled for today and tomorrow.

*SALE CANCELED FRIDAY AND SATURDAY!*
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had different plans. That means we have to cancel our poinsettia sale scheduled for Friday. We've got a lot of beautiful plants that we'll, hopefully, be able to sell to you on Saturday, though! Keep an eye out for further updates!
Update🚨 Virginia Western will remain closed Saturday December 6th. This includes the library and testing center.
Due to pending inclement weather in our region, Virginia Western will be closed on Friday, December 5, 2025.
