Handley High School Class of 1977

We express our sympathy to the family and friends of Melissa Barnes Deese, our own beloved classmate. Obituary will be posted when available.

It’s with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my mom, Melissa Barnes Campano—known to all of us as Mimi.

She was a loving mother and an even more incredible grandmother. The bond she had with Zackary Deese and Addison Deese was so special—she absolutely adored them, and they adored her just as much. Being able to see how much she loved them is something I will forever hold close. The void she leaves behind is something we’ll all feel deeply.

We’ll share details about a celebration of her life soon, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has already reached out with love and support.

We love you and miss you, Mimi.
