Roanoke Music School had our spring recital yesterday! Congratulations to all of our performers and a big thank you to our teachers for their dedication to the students! What a wonderful evening. 😊

For the past couple of lessons, Raphael has been working on crossing the left hand and the right hand over each other to ascend and descend the piano. Today, he was able to accomplish this while maintaining a steady pace! His hard work has really been paying off!

Spring Festival prep in the studio 🌸🎶
In the weeks leading up to Saturday’s Spring Festival, students spent their lessons polishing pieces and preparing to perform.
This year over 50 students participated, supported by 8 wonderful teachers, and we are so proud of the dedication everyone showed leading up to the event!

Big news at the studio... we got new metronomes.
And apparently they are ✨very exciting✨ because every single student has noticed.
“Is that new?”
“That one sounds different.”
“Wait… is that faster??”
Y’all... They’re paying attention to the metronome!
As music teachers, this is the equivalent of a standing ovation. Proud moment over here. Tempo awareness is alive and well at Roanoke Music School! 🎶

Student win: Miss Hannah helped Fiona tackle some tricky finger numbers on a piece that has been proving to be difficult! It was an exciting moment for them and changed the energy of the lesson going forward. ✨

Theory testing took place today and all of the students did so well!! Proud moment at Roanoke Music School! 👏
