🎉💙🤍 TODAY WAS EPIC, TITANS!! 🤍💙🎉

Today, we got to SHARE OUR STORY—and cheer LOUDLY along the way! The energy in our building was absolutely ELECTRIC! ⚡️

Last year, our Titans accomplished something incredible:

📈 85 ➡️ 91
🏆 A-RATED CAMPUS!

That six-point jump represents SO much more than a number. It represents the hard work, dedication, determination, and belief of our incredible students and staff. Every person played a part in making this happen.

But you know us…we’re not done. 😏

Today, I officially THREW DOWN THE GAUNTLET. 🧤🔥

If a 91 is what happens when we work hard, what happens when we go completely ALL-IN?

🎯 THE CHALLENGE: 95.

We’re going to celebrate this 91 BIG because our Titans earned every single point—but then we’re going right back to work, challenging ourselves to reach even higher and continuing our pursuit of ALL-IN: UNREASONABLE EXCELLENCE! 💪💙

A HUGE thank you to the teachers who helped dream up and plan today’s celebration and to the students who helped film our story. Everyone played their part immaculately, and seeing it all come together today truly felt like a dream come true.

🎥 And speaking of our video…we just needed a little more time to get those final edits PERFECT—because, well, Unreasonable Excellence. 😉 We can’t wait to share it with everyone on MONDAY!

🎭 One word. SO many meanings! 👀

Students explored the concept of subtext through a fun real-life acting activity. 🎬✨

Each student was given a secret subtext, such as being excited 🤩, nervous 😬, annoyed 🙄, or suspicious 🧐. They then had to communicate their assigned emotion while saying only one word:

🗣️ “Hello.”

Their classmates observed their body language, facial expressions, and tone of voice and attempted to identify the hidden subtext. 🔎🎭

This activity helped students understand how actors communicate meaning beyond the words they say. 💡👏

🧠 The content may change, but the challenge stays the same: THINK. COMMUNICATE. COLLABORATE.

Our Titans are being challenged to do more than just know the answer—we want them to communicate their learning using rich academic vocabulary, explain their thinking, and learn alongside one another. 💬💡

🧬 In MedTerm, students are diving into cell structures while intentionally using the language of the content.

➗ In Compacted G/T Math, students are collaborating with their peers as they tackle dividing whole numbers that lead to decimal remainders.

Different classrooms. Different content. Same commitment to meaningful learning.

👏 Huge shoutout to Coach Fox and Mr. Potter for engaging our Titans in the kind of work that matters!

From lead actors to backstage tech crew, there are no small parts when putting in a show of this magnitude. Tonight, some of our talented Titan Thespians took to the stage alongside their fellow Broncos, Bulldogs, Lions, Mustangs, Panthers, Tigers, and Wildcats in the Northwest ISD Middle School Musical Newsies’ Jr. All of these kids did an amazing job and it was great to see kids so involved in doing what they love.

If you haven’t had the chance to go see it yet, don’t miss out. The last show is Sunday, August 16 at 2:00 pm VR Eaton High School.

BEST. FIRST. DAY. EVER. 💙🤍🙌

There’s something special happening at Tidwell.

Today our Titans showed up with energy, smiles, excitement, and a willingness to jump ALL-IN. Our teachers and staff poured everything they had into making sure our students felt welcomed, known, supported, and excited to be back.

We even had a special guest pop in and help out! Can you spot him? A huge thanks to Dr. Ron Meyers, Principal of Davis High School for diving in and meeting our crew.

Was it busy? Absolutely.
Was it perfect? Probably not. 😂
Was it UNREASONABLY EXCELLENT? You better believe it.

If today is any indication of what’s ahead, this is going to be one incredible year.
