We're so grateful for our teachers and staff! Today Monterey Elementary PTA provided lunch from Mission BBQ. We appreciate all our teachers and staff at Monterey Elementary School. Thank you to all the parents and community members that support the PTA to allow us to love on our staff this week. 💙💛

We would like to extend a GIANT thank you to our Monterey Elementary PTA who recently purchased a new laminator for our school! Our old laminator was over a decade old. We are thrilled to have a new one that works so well! We love our PTA! 💙💛

The PTA is sponsoring teacher appreciation week (April 27-May 1) as a way to say THANK YOU to the faculty and staff for their dedication hard work throughout the school year. Each day the faculty will receive a special treat from the PTA. In addition to the treats provided by PTA, below are some ideas if you want to show your homeroom teacher and special teachers your appreciation.
These will be coming home with students, but we wanted to share the below Teachers Favorites surveys. Thanks to your support through fundraising and spirit nights the PTA will provide teacher appreciation each day; these surveys are if you want to add any appreciation to your teachers. ❤ 💙💛
Thank you to everyone who took part in our Penny Wars fundraiser! Together, our school raised an amazing $1,076.37 — great job, everyone!
🏆 The winning grade level with the most points was.....3rd grade! 3rd grade will get to choose a class party! Congratulations to 3rd Grade!
🍧 A big shout‑out to 2nd Grade, who raised the most money during the competition! 2nd grade has earned an ice-cream treat!

Monterey Elementary PTA hosted Goodies with Grown-ups today. Thanks to Dunkin Donuts in Hollins for the donation of Donuts. It was great to see so many of our Monterey Families this morning! 🍩 🥮🍌🍊🧃

Roanoke City Council of PTAs/PTSAs announced Reflections Winners: "Congratulations to all of our participants in the Reflections Contest! We appreciate all of the hard work the students put in to their artwork, literature, photography, film, music, and dance. We have some very special and talented students in our Roanoke City Public Schools!
The first place winners at the school level will move on to judging at the city level. If any names need to be corrected for spelling, please send us a message! Congratulations again!"

Our Annual Fall Fundraiser THE PAWATHON, begins tomorrow September 19th. Please be on the lookout for an envelope tomorrow. This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps to fund most of our events throughout the year. Money is due Friday Oct. 3. Thank you in advance for your support and we can't wait for the silly string assemblies!
