Step 1: Draw the outline of a dinosaur, using a crayon, with your non-dominant hand.
Step 2: Draw a face on your dinosaur, using a marker, with your eyes closed.
Step 3: Add 5 dots to your dinosaur, using the paint and sponge brush.
Step 4: Trade papers with someone and use a colored pencil to add the sun and grass.

โ€œresponse to assessment dataโ€ edition! Our kids really struggled with negative decimals and determining inequalities with negatives so we addressed the need by combining two previous activities. Each student plotted a negative โ€œbaby Bigfootโ€ decimal then moved on to determining which inequality symbol was needed.

One of our personal goals is to foster better between . When schools and families work together, the students benefit!

This year, we have been sending out a short newsletter at the end of each week to keep families up to date on what's going on in our classroom. In addition, we have called, we have emailed, we have chatted in person, and the response from every one of our students' families has been positive and encouraging. ๐—ง๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ ๐˜€๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐˜€' ๐—ด๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐˜„๐—ป-๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐˜€! is going strong and our new students were quick to learn how to complete the tasks. BensonVoss are collecting formative data and using that information to inform instruction.

We practiced using inequality symbols correctly in three different situations. Literal sizes of objects, decimals, and their opinions of several things from chips to sports teams.
