Lower School students enjoy their weekly library time, which in addition to checking out books, also includes story time with our librarian. Dr. McNeil. Children love for someone to read to them. At Faith Christian School we want children to look for truth, beauty, and goodness in everything. This is true for books, too.

SAVE THE DATE! Senior Night for our Boys Varsity Soccer team is Thursday, September 17th! We will honor our five senior soccer players following the 4:30pm Middle School Boys game, before the start of the Varsity game!

It's also Lower School Family Fun Night, with fun halftime games for Lower School students! And, there will be a hot dog sale, benefitting the Senior Class for their spring trip!

Make plans now for a fun night on Warrior Field supporting our seniors and our soccer teams!

The Class of 2027 is continuing their leadership of the school with their Friday traditions. Seniors can be seen on Friday mornings helping Mr. Tipton and the 5th grade students in morning carpool and later reading to their Kindergarten buddies, which this week even included a special happy birthday song! Thank you seniors for leading well!

This week, Mrs. Klepac's class enjoyed the beautiful weather with some outdoor classroom time on the FCS trail in the outdoor amphitheater. The sophomores continued their exploration of ancient Greek literature and plays by performing an excerpt from either Seven Against Thebes by Aesychlus or Antigone by Sophocles. They worked for nearly two weeks in groups to read, interpret, memorize, and choreograph their scene. They did an excellent job and are continuing the artistic tradition of collaborative storytelling. And, what better place to present their scenes than in the outdoor amphitheater!

Congratulations to the Varsity Lady Warriors volleyball team for another 3-0 win against conference rival RVCS, advancing them to 4 - 0 in district games! The team’s back row showed out with an impressive 50 digs between the three games, allowing for Junior setter, Lillian Carmouche, to set up 27 assists to her front row. Outside hitter, Tessa Bowker led the team in kills with 12, followed by Savannah Green with 9!

The Middle School girls lost in three sets, including an overtime third set, to RVCS. Mari Serebrov had 1 ace, Addison Myers had 4 assists and 1 setter kill, Abigail Joseph had 5 aces, and Ingrid Tauck had 13 aces.

Way to go Lady Warriors!

The Middle School boys soccer team kicked off their home play on Warrior Field Thursday evening against the RVCS Eagles. The game was tied at 3 - 3, when the game was called due to an injury late in the game. Goals were scored by James Taylor and Finn Murdock. Way to go Warriors!

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Soccer team for a big win on a hot Thursday evening! They defeated the RVCS Eagles 4 - 0 on Warrior Field. Seniors Beau Bravo and Titus Pasley scored goals and senior Jackson Price had 3 assists. Davi Santos had six saves. Way to go Warriors!

For the second year, Head of Lower School, Jeremy Tipton, is leading Ironworks—a leadership and fellowship group for fifth-grade boys.

The goal: to help them grow as men of faith and integrity who lead by example. Their first meeting focused on verses like Proverbs 27:17 (“Iron sharpens iron”) and Proverbs 10:9 (“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely”), exploring what it means to live with accountability, responsibility, and wholehearted effort in all they do. Mr. Tipton encouraged parents to keep these conversations going at home, helping raise up the next generation of godly men. The first year of the program was widely successful and Mr. Tipton looks forward to working with this year’s 5th grade boys as well.
