Cross Country Team Benefit Going on June 23 - 28th

Fleet Feet, located at 4347 Franklin Road, SW, is hosting our Cross Country team for their annual spike night again this year and will donate 10% of the sales back to the team. Additionally, anyone who shops at Fleet Feet from June 23 - 28 and mentions Faith Christian School at checkout will have 10% of those sales donated back to the Warrior Cross Country team!

Congratulations to recent Class of 2026 graduates, Ryan Ridge and Lexie Beaumont for being recognized last night as nominees for the B'nai B'rith Athletic and Achievement Award at a ceremony at Hotel Roanoke. Ryan and Lexie were announced as the FCS recipients of this award at last month's Upper School Awards Ceremony.

Sponsored by the Roanoke Jewish Federation, this esteemed event held last night, recognized exceptional young individuals who excel in athletics, academics, and citizenship.The B'nai B'rith International Award is based on athletics, academics, and service to the community and extracurricular activities, and was founded in 1951 in Roanoke as as way to recognize outstanding senior student-athletes.

During the ceremony, Lexie received the Artie Levin Personal Life Award, presented to someone who makes a positive impact on those around them and in the community. The B’nai B’rith Athletic and Achievement Awards serve not only to honor these exceptional young individuals but also to highlight the importance of balancing athletic dedication with academic rigor and community involvement. Congratulations Ryan and Lexie and to Lexie on receiving the additional award!

Members of the Lady Warriors varsity basketball team participated in a multi-game tournament at Roanoke College on Saturday. They played large public school teams as well as local AAU teams and had a great day working on their skills and teamwork. Next up, they will be participating in a team camp at Liberty University.

Calling all rising 4th - 7th grade boys and girls!

Join us June 27th for a Boys Soccer Camp for rising for 4th to 7th grade boys and girls. This FREE Camp will be held in Warrior Field, from 9am - noon.

Registration is NOT required but will help guide us to plan the morning. There will be skill development, games, and prizes. Also - feel free to INVITE A FRIEND from outside of FCS who is within the same age range. If you decide to bring a friend kindly let Mrs. Delp know at [email protected]

The camp will be run by Varsity Head Coach Todd Murrill who brings years of soccer experience AND a dedicated heart for Jesus !

Faith Christian School Alumni Spotlight - over the summer, we will highlight our alumni who have recently graduated college, are continuing their education and / or starting careers or families.

Today’s spotlight is Trace Percell, Class of 2022. Trace graduated this May from Virginia Tech with a degree in Mining Engineering, focusing on mining operations and project management. He will be returning to work for an aggregates and construction material company called Heidelberg Materials after completing a summer internship with them last year and working for them part-time remotely during his senior year of college. He will be working in the Philadelphia metro area as a management trainee, working at four different quarry operations in the region. His main responsibilities will be capital project management, operations improvement, and helping site management with the day-to-day operations of the different quarries he will be working at.
