✨ 5th Grade Promotion Celebration ✨

What a beautiful and memorable evening as we celebrated our amazing 5th grade students and all they have accomplished! Last night marked not just the end of an elementary journey, but the beginning of an exciting new chapter as they head off to middle school. We could not be more proud of each and every one of them. 🧡🖤

We were honored to hear inspiring words from our keynote speaker, Mr. Xavier Duckett of Humble Hustle and Imagine Me Mentoring. His message encouraged our students to be themselves, stay focused, and believe in themselves as they continue to grow.

So many of our students were recognized for their hard work, leadership, and achievements last night. A very special thank you to Mr. Mike Hamlar and Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory - Roanoke for presenting the L. H. Hamlar Citizenship Award, celebrating the character and integrity of one of our outstanding students.

It truly was a night filled with pride, joy, and celebration. To our 5th graders—thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your journey. You have left a lasting impact on our school, and we know your futures are incredibly bright! 🌟

Today was a truly special day at Lincoln Terrace Elementary School as we welcomed back a wonderful group of high school seniors from William Fleming High School and Patrick Henry High School for a heartfelt walk-through of the place where their journeys began.

These seniors once walked our halls as elementary students, and today they returned as confident, accomplished young adults preparing for their next chapter in life. It was a joy for our current students to see firsthand what their future can hold!

A highlight of the visit was the opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with two of their former teachers, Mrs. White and Mrs. Morgan—a touching reminder of the lasting impact educators have on their students.

Moments like these are powerful. They inspire, motivate, and remind us all that every step of the journey matters. We are so proud of our former students and grateful they came back to celebrate this milestone with us.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026—we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you will achieve! 🎓💙💛💜

🎉🚗 Celebrating Perfect Attendance! 🍔🎉
Today, we are rolling out the red carpet for some of our most dedicated students! We are incredibly proud to recognize those who achieved perfect attendance for the entire school year. Their commitment, responsibility, and perseverance truly set them apart!

To celebrate this amazing accomplishment, these students enjoyed a special limo ride to McDonald’s for lunch, a fun and memorable reward made possible through the generosity of Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory - Roanoke. Thank you for helping us honor our students in such a meaningful way!

At our school, we know that attendance matters, and showing up every day makes a big difference in student success. Achieving perfect attendance is no small feat, and it is always worth celebrating!

A few reminders to keep everyone comfortable and ready for fun:

We can't wait to celebrate our high school seniors next week during our annual senior walk through! This flyer has been shared with all seniors at William Fleming High School and Patrick Henry High School!

Our kindergarteners had an amazing time during our Glow Day! 💡✨ We turned off the lights and lit up our learning with fun glow-themed literacy, phonics, and math activities. Students practiced letters, sounds, reading, writing, and math skills in exciting new ways while everything glowed around them! We also enjoyed some glowing snacks to make the day even more special. It was a bright day full of learning, laughter, and lots of smiles! 🌟

Special thanks to our amazing kindergarten teachers and our Targeted School Improvement Mentor for their amazing planning and implementation of this awesome activity!

Our grade 3-5 EL students took learning to new heights at TreeTop Quest! 🌳

After working hard all year, our students earned a day of fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories. From balancing on ropes to cheering each other on, our tigers practiced teamwork, followed multi step directions, and showed incredible persistence every step of the way! We are so proud of their courage, confidence, and positive attitudes! Thank you to our amazing ELL team, Mr. Klumpp and Mrs. Reynolds, for coordinating such an awesome day for our students! 🐯

Our Teacher Appreciation journey made its final stop in… England! 🇬🇧✨
�Our amazing educators were treated to a delightful breakfast and tea, generously sponsored by our Social Committee. ☕🍽️
�We’ve heard England can be quite rainy, so our wonderful PTA made sure every staff member is covered with a Lincoln Terrace umbrella! ☔💙
�And the surprises didn’t stop there—thank you to our generous sponsors, OneRoanoke, Branch Construction, the RCPS Education Foundation, and Central Council PTA, who treated our staff to a delicious pizza lunch! 🍕
�We are so grateful for all the ways our teachers are celebrated and appreciated each day! It has been our absolute pleasure to shower our teachers with so much love and appreciation this week for all of their hard work.
