📚✨ Read Across America Week was a blast! ✨📚
Our classrooms were buzzing with excitement as we celebrated the joy of reading in the most creative ways.
📖 Monday – Book Character Day: Our halls were filled with little storybook stars come to life.
😎 Tuesday – Reading Makes Us BRIGHT: Sunglasses and bright colors lit up every room.
🤪 Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday: Silly outfits and big laughs made the day unforgettable.
🎩😴 Thursday – Hats Off to Reading & PJ Day: Cozy pajamas and creative hats made for the perfect reading day combo.
Our 2’s enjoyed celebrating all week long—especially with fun treats like warm waffles for snack and water‑table play in the beautiful weather. The playground was a favorite too, with plenty of sliding, swinging, and sunshine.
Our 3’s were fully in the spirit as well. They were brave enough to try green eggs and ham, and later in the week they joined the Pre‑K class for popcorn and a showing of The Cat in the Hat.
Our Pre‑K crew went all‑in for Read Across America! They kicked off Monday with cupcakes for Dr. Seuss’s birthday, walked into a topsy‑turvy classroom on Wacky Wednesday (complete with a panda in the teacher’s chair and shoes on the easel), and wrapped up the week with Ms. Bonnie and Ms. Johanna sporting brand‑new, wonderfully wacky hair.
What a wonderful week celebrating stories, creativity, and the joy of reading together. ❤️📚

What a wonderful week we had at GSLP! Our Pre‑K friends explored the Letter of the Week: Ww, and enjoyed the charming story The Little Red Wagon—a sweet reminder that the best toys are often powered by imagination, not batteries. We practiced W‑words like watermelon, wagon, and web, and even sang “It’s a Web” with the guitar as we imagined moonlight casting spiderweb shadows across the room.
Thursday Chapel with Pastor Beasley is always a highlight, and our homemade Play‑dough inspired all kinds of W‑shaped creations. Thank you to the families who keep us stocked throughout the year! ❤️
Excitement is building as we count down to our 100th Day of School, arriving right after our Dr. Seuss/Read Across America celebrations. On Monday, we’ll enjoy our Dr. Seuss Birthday Party! Dressing up as a favorite book or comic book character is optional, but we can’t wait to see the creativity and enjoy a week full of reading fun.
Our 3’s class had a super week too, learning the letter S with sponge painting, sidewalk chalk, marble‑painted shamrocks, and sticker art. So many smiles and so much learning!

Another exciting week at Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool!
The pre-k class enjoyed indoor snowball fun with Ms. Johanna, Presidents Day exploration of Abraham Lincoln, where we learned that he kept important papers tucked inside his tall hat! 🎩 The tall‑hat‑paper fact was a huge hit; the kids were all smiles.
We kept the energy going with a lively round of the “up game” in the big room using balloons!
We practiced our safety drills (fire drill and lockdown procedures), Chapel time with Pastor Beasley hearing God's Word and singing some songs together, our 2's enjoyed reading stories and exploring books with friends, they got creative with dot painting and wrapped up the week celebrating birthdays together. 🎉
So much learning, laughter, and growing all in one week!

We had such an exciting week of learning and laughter!
Our 2's especially loved dancing during music time, moving and grooving with big smiles and lots of energy.
Our 3's class jumped into the letter Q with creative Q‑tip painting!
In our pre-K room, they moved right along to the letter U! Our very own Pastor Beasley visited to share three different types of ukuleles with us—what a treat to hear and explore something new. We even got to sing a few songs together! Then we added some extra giggles and movement with umbrellas to bring the letter U to life.
All of our classes kept the fun going with sweet Valentine’s celebrations and lots of playtime with friends in the Big Room.
So many joyful moments, curious minds, and hands‑on learning all wrapped into one wonderful week ❤️

❄️ We’re Back and Busy After Snow Days! ❄️
After a full week of snow days, our preschoolers jumped right back into learning and play with so much excitement. It’s amazing how quickly they settled in and filled our classrooms with energy again.
Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to this week:
✨ Snow Globe Game —while everyone shook the snowballs in the air around them lots of giggles, teamwork, and winter magic
✨ Letters S & T — exploring sounds, practicing writing, and spotting them everywhere! LOOK at all those words our young learners came up with for both letters!
✨ Big Room playtime while the weather outside is still cold! Working on balancing — building strength, coordination, and confidence
✨ Story Time & Book Browsing — cozy moments with favorite stories and new discoveries
✨ Skiing Snowmen Art — creativity on full display with adorable winter artwork
✨ Music with Ms. Johanna — dancing to the Laurie Berkner Goldfish song and moving our bodies with joy!
It was a wonderful week of reconnecting, learning, and celebrating being together again. We’re so proud of how our preschoolers jumped right back in.
Here’s to more fun ahead as we continue our winter adventures! ❄️

❄️ We’re missing our sweet preschoolers during these snowy days! The classrooms feel a little too quiet without all the giggles, stories, and busy little hands at work.
But we *know* you’re all having the best time making winter memories, and we can’t wait to hear all about it when we’re back together.
📸 **Share your snow‑day fun with us!**
Drop your favorite snow day pictures in the comments so we can see those big smiles, cool creations, and all the adventures you’ve been having.
Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the magic of the snow — we can’t wait to see you soon! ❄️

🌈✨ What an incredible week of creativity and joy we had together! ✨🌈
Our pre-K explorers dove into the world of rocks and rock candy, discovering textures, colors, and all the sweet science that comes with it. Then we let our imaginations swim free as we crafted beautiful rainbow fish, each one as unique and vibrant as the artists who made them.
We also shared big smiles and cozy moments while enjoying Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, a classroom favorite that never fails to spark wonder. Outside the classroom we soaked up the sunshine on the playground - enjoying the slides and swings with some fresh air!
And to top it all off, we danced, sang, and moved our bodies with Ms. Johanna, our amazing music teacher, who knows exactly how to turn an ordinary day into a celebration.
💛 Days like these remind us how magical learning can be when curiosity, creativity, and community come together. Can’t wait for the next adventure!

🎉 What an amazing first two weeks back at preschool! 🎉
January came in bursting with energy, giggles, and so many hands-on adventures that it already feels like we’ve packed a whole month into just a few days.
🍩 Donuts with Dad was the sweetest kickoff — nothing beats seeing little faces light up while sharing treats and special time together.
🔤 We jumped right into learning the letter Q, exploring its quirky sounds and discovering all the fun words that start with it. Quails, queens, quilts… our kiddos had questions for days.
🎭 Interactive play has been in full swing, with imaginations running wild and friendships growing stronger by the minute.
🎶 Music class was a total hit — the parachute came out, the bubbles were flying, and the laughter was nonstop. It’s impossible not to smile watching them dance, shake, and swirl their way through the room.
🎨 And of course, we’ve been busy coloring, creating, and crafting, filling our classroom with bright artwork and even brighter smiles.
If this is how the year is starting, we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2026 brings. Our preschoolers are off to an incredible start — and we’re loving every moment of it! 💛✨
