The Gamma Alpha Chapter held its annual Dr. Charles R. Drew blood drive today! Thank you to Brother Councilman Nash for spearheading this effort and curating an opportunity to help those that need it most! 🩸

This Friday, May 29th, from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, visit the American Red Cross located at 352 Church Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016, and donate blood. Your contribution could help save a life!

Today, the brothers of the Gamma Alpha Chapter paid tribute to our late Brother, Vincent Dabney (‘71 Eta Psi). We are grateful for the sacrifice of Brother Vice District Representative Raymond Bell for making the trip to stand in the gap with us as we uplifted the family of brother Dabney.

“And when we say our last goodbye, we’ll love Omega Psi Phi”

The brothers of the Gamma Alpha Chapter wish to extend sincere condolences to the family and friends of our dearly departed brother, Brother Vincent G. Dabney, 1971 Eta Psi. Brother Dabney entered Omega Chapter on April 18th, 2026. May his legacy live on through those who have been impacted by his presence. Memorial service details are listed below:

The brothers of the Gamma Alpha Chapter were privileged to attend the 93rd Third District Meeting in Virginia Beach.

We extend our sincere congratulations to the newly elected Executive Council of the Third District.

We also congratulate our very own Brother Roderick Tasco on being recognized for his outstanding service as Western Area Supervisor and 3rd district scholarship chair.

We were honored to host our Third District Western Area Talent Hunt winner, who did an amazing job.

In 1932, nine distinguished men came together to establish a local chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Roanoke, Virginia.

On this day, April 4, 1933, the Mighty Gamma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was chartered at the Grand Conclave in Durham, North Carolina.

We say thank you to those brothers who have left an indelible footprint for generations to come, and to those brothers who remain to carry the torch forward.
