Good Morning Vikings, hopefully you aren't too tired from watching the election last night because we are making modifications to our launcher today! We have new tools and new methods of launching to hopefully get the results we expect. We urge all members to collectively think about how we can improve the launcher as well as think about the next project we're going to do. See us today in Mr. Park's room at 3:25 to help be apart of the launching and our next project.

Good Morning everyone, yesterday's launch went well, we were able to launch two potatoes and learned a lot about what needs to change to make the launcher work every time. We're going to implement these changes next meeting which is Nov 2, we will not have a meeting this upcoming Wednesday because we don't have school! We were delighted to have new faces come to our meeting, welcome to the Freshmen joining our club and the rest who are adjusting to their new high school life. Thanks to everyone who brought in items to tinker with before and after he launch and thanks to everyone who helped out in the Viking Connection! Pictures and videos are soon to come later today!

Good Morning Vikings, last meeting we put together our potato/gourd launcher and are giving it the finishing touches so it looks good. Thanks again to Vy for the nice stencil she made for the launcher. Our initial launch will be next Wednesday, October 19. All are invited! Meet in Mr. Parks room in D117 before the launch and we can all go together to the launch site. Thanks to Chase for the parts in the launcher and the paint! Hope to see everyone there and hopefully some new faces!

If you have any questions about volunteering for the Viking Connection, please ask either Chase or Austin or email the club at [email protected]

Hey guys, just a reminder, due to the early dismissal on Wednesday, September 14 we will not have a STEM Club meeting after school. We plan to continue the meetings next week in Mr. Parks' room to discuss and act upon the flour lab. Hope to see everyone there! Remember to bring outside gear in case of weather for we may be going to the stadium!

Welcome back to another year Vikings! We were happy to see the returning faces as well as some new ones at our planning meeting this afternoon. The club administration will be meeting with the High School administration either this Friday or early the next week to have our charter renewed for the club's third year of '16-'17. Congrats to Chase Amos and Austin Spence for their second year of President and Vice President roles. Coming next meting (Wednesday Sept. 7) we will have information sheets so we can get in touch with you guys a bit better. We look forward to a productive year in the revised STEM Club, and we wish every student a fulfilling year and a final good luck to our seniors.
Go Vikings!

On behalf of the Science Club Administration, we would like to apologize for not using the Facebook and Kik to convey messages and upcoming events, we will begin to use it regularly. If anyone has any good ideas for projects and what we want to do, then please bring it up at our meetings, we want to make Science Club more exciting and get some new members. We thank those who have been loyal to the club and have been members thus far, and we look forward to some new faces as the club goes on. For those who were with us last year and participated in the Rocket Launch, we'd like to see more projects where we can go places and experiment with science to its fullest. Please speak to Chase or Austin for any ideas on things you'd like to see or experiment with, and we will make time for you.

Welcome! We have seen a great first few meetings these past few weeks. We hope that everyone has their workload and schedules figured out so we can enjoy Science Club as well as maintain our GPAs :). We just wanted to let everyone know that due to popular demand by our club members, we now have a Kik group for those who don't have Facebook or those who would prefer texting methods. We are on Kik and we's love to have you there. Please feel free to talk among yourselves and ask any questions you may have about upcoming events or other inquiries. See you all on Wednesday!
