Beautiful ...

Patience visited me
And it reminded me
That good things take time to come to fruition
And grow slowly with stability

Peace visited me
And it reminded me
That I may remain calm through the storms of life
Regardless of the chaos surrounding me

Hope visited me
And it reminded me
That better times lay ahead
And it would always be there to guide and uplift me

Humility visited me
And it reminded me
That I may achieve it
Not by trying to shrink myself and make myself less
But by focusing on serving the world and uplifting those around me

Kindness visited me
And it reminded me
To be more gentle, forgiving and compassionate toward myself
And those surrounding me

Confidence visited me
And it reminded me
To not conceal or suppress my gifts and talents
In order to make others feel more comfortable
But to embrace what makes me me

Focus visited me
And it reminded me
That other people’s insecurities and judgements about me
Are not my problem
And I should redirect my attention
From others back to me

Freedom visited me
And it reminded me
That no one has control over my mindset, thoughts and wellbeing
But me

And love visited me
And it reminded me
That I need not search for it in others
As it lies within me.

JOURNEY OF THE SOUL

One of the qualities that you can develop, particularly in your older years, is a sense of great compassion for yourself. When you visit the wounds within the temple of memory, you should not blame yourself for making bad mistakes that you greatly regret. Sometimes you have grown unexpectedly through these mistakes. Frequently, in a journey of the soul, the most precious moments are the mistakes. They have brought you to a place that you would otherwise have always avoided. You should bring a compassionate mindfulness to your mistakes and wounds. Endeavor to inhabit the rhythm you were in at that time. If you visit this configuration of your soul with forgiveness in your heart, it will fall into place itself. When you forgive yourself, the inner wounds begin to heal. You come in out of the exile of hurt into the joy of inner belonging.

Sanaya says: When one expresses a different opinion than your own, one way of reacting is to get your back up, as you say it ... to put up your defenses. Do you know what this does? It backs up the other’s sense of separation and reinforces your own. What if you take down that wall? What if you see that other as a being of light just as you are, feeling your way through all possibilities ... yes, all possible opinions and situations. This situation is an opportunity to erase the arbitrary barriers and throw a net around all present. See yourselves engaged in a dance in which all cannot possibly share the same viewpoint. With this awareness there is greater flow, greater acceptance, and less resistance. This creates an opening for those with more fixed attitudes to feel greater possibilities and melt a bit into the flow instead of remaining barricaded behind a self-imposed wall. You are all so very loved.

"When you are present in this moment, you break the continuity of your story, of past and future. Then true intelligence arises, and also love." - Eckhart Tolle
