Last week, we were honored to welcome Mayor Cobb to Charles W. Day Technical Education Center as we continued celebrating DAYTEC being named Tomorrow’s Technician 2025-2026 School of the Year, sponsored by WIX Filters and O’Reilly Auto Parts! 🏆🎉

Mayor Cobb had the opportunity to meet our incredible students, tour the automotive program, and see firsthand the hands-on learning happening each day in Mr. Wray’s shop. From technical skills to teamwork and professionalism, our students continue to impress everyone who walks through our doors.

Yesterday, we celebrated our DAYTEC CNA students during their pinning ceremony! 🎓🩺

This special milestone marks the dedication, compassion, and hard work these students have shown throughout their journey. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and cannot wait to see the positive impact they will make in the lives of others.

A special thank you to Mrs. Feese for her dedication, support, and guidance throughout the year. Your passion for teaching and caring for students has helped prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals! 💙

We would also like to give a shoutout to the ROTEC CNA students who celebrated their pinning ceremony yesterday as well with Mrs. Nosker-Merlino. Congratulations to all of the students on this incredible achievement!

What a wonderful evening! We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished.

Our second Family Welding Night was a huge success! 🔥⚙️

Current and prospective students and their families joined us to learn something new and get creative in the welding shop. Participants created metal picture frames, flower yard art, and many other unique projects!

A huge thank you to our instructors Justin Wagner, Steven Fultz, and John Johnson for sharing their skills and making this event such a great experience for everyone.

We’d also like to thank Corey Allder, Director of Community Engagement, and the wonderful staff at the Community Empowerment Center at Booker T. Washington, as well as Julia Moran, DAYTEC School Counselor, for all of their help in making this event possible!

We loved seeing families learning and creating together, and we can’t wait for the next one! 🛠️✨
