Reminder: Tomorrow, Friday, September 4, is a non-student and non-teacher day. This means there is no school for students, and only 12-month staff should report. In addition, all schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

🇺🇸✨ Our second graders wrapped up their l American Symbols unit in a creative way!

They showed off their learning through research posters and hands-on Play-Doh or block models. 📚🧱🎨

We loved seeing their creativity, hard work, and knowledge come to life! Great job, second grade! ⭐️

🔬🧪 2nd grade is kicking off their science unit! Our young scientists are learning all about what scientists do and exploring the tools they use to investigate, discover, and make new observations. 🌟🔍

🐸🌿 This Week in Ms. Clark’s STEAM Classes: Frogs! 🌿🐸

Our students hopped into some hands-on learning this week as they explored frogs and their habitats! 🐸💚

Kindergarten and 1st grade students were challenged to build a log strong enough to support their frog, while 2nd and 3rd grade students designed their own frog habitats complete with water, shelter, and places for a frog to sit. Some creative students even added food for their frogs! 🪵💧🌱🪰

We loved seeing our students use creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to bring their frog designs to life! What a fun week of STEAM learning! 💡🐸

🎻 Strings classes are in full swing! 🎻

Our students have been learning and growing! We were also lucky enough to welcome the Education Director from the Roanoke Symphony, Virginia Willis, who joined us to introduce the students to some other amazing instruments and expand their musical horizons. What a fun and inspiring experience! 🎶
