Northside Middle School is kicking off an exciting year of clubs and we need your help to make them a success!

This year, NMS will offer more than 30 clubs giving our students a wide variety of opportunities to explore their interests, try something new, make friends and have fun!

Clubs will meet once a month during the school day, allowing all of our students the opportunity to participate and enjoy these special experiences.

We are asking our families and community supporters to consider donating any of the items on the Sign Up Genius below. Every donation, big or small makes a difference! Your generosity will help provide our students with engaging activities and memorable experiences throughout the school year.

Boys’ Basketball open gyms

The first open gym for Boys’ Basketball will be held on Tuesday, September 8th from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in the Pope Gym.

Please note that only students with a completed physical on file through Arbiter will be permitted to participate.

Congratulations to our amazing front office Administrative Assistant on being named the recipient of our Sun Stone Award!

This award is given by our principal to recognize a star employee who goes above and beyond to make a difference in our school. We are so grateful for the kindness, dedication and positive energy she brings to our front office and to our entire school community each day.

Thank you for all that you do to help make Northside Middle School such a wonderful place to be! We are so lucky to have you!

NMS Baseball Interest Meeting

NMS Baseball will hold an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 2, at 8:20 a.m. in the cafeteria for any students interested in participating in open fields.

If you are interested in playing baseball, please plan to attend!

Northside Archery Club is getting ready for a new season!

Our season begins September 13th from 2:00–4:00 p.m. in the Pope Gym. All archery equipment will be provided, so students just need to come ready to learn and have fun!

A parent/guardian is required to attend the parent meeting during our first practice. Students do not need a physical to participate in archery.

Join us for our Drama Team interest meeting this Thursday (9/3) to learn more about what we have planned and find out how you can be part of the fun!

No experience is necessary! Just bring your enthusiasm and your love of the stage!

Spirit Night is this Monday (8/24)!

Come out and support our Northside Middle School PTA at the Town Center Tap House (90 Town Center Street #100, Daleville, VA) this Monday! A portion of your purchase will be donated back to our PTA, with 10% of all sales going to support our students and school!

Way to go Norsemen!

We are so proud of two of our 7th grade students who were recognized at the Festival in the Park 2026 Youth Art Show in May!

Both students earned top honors in the 6th/7th Grade Category! We are incredibly proud of their creativity, talent and hard work. Way to represent Northside Middle School!

What a Great Start to the School Year!

We have officially made it through our first week of the 2026–27 school year and even though it was only two days, it was two GREAT days!

We are so proud of our students and incredibly grateful for the amazing staff who make Northside Middle School such a special place. From the classroom to the front office, cafeteria, hallways, and beyond, our staff is ready to support, encourage, challenge and celebrate our Norsemen every step of the way.

We are excited to keep building on this great beginning and look forward to all that this school year has in store. Here’s to a GREAT 2026–27 school year!
