Power Tools Power Tools for People provides Master Crafted experiences for businesses, Educators, Mediators, and "PowerTools"... by Hartwell Resource Consultants, Inc.

What Does That Mean? Power Tools are the skills (tools) that are learned within the adventure based counseling experience of the PowerTools program. PowerTools programming refers to a systematic, interactive, therapeutic instructional process to teach people the six power tools for success:

RESPECT
RESPONSIBILITY
CONSEQUENCES
FEEDBACK
COMMUNICATION
ATTITUDE
Daily lessons are provided through inte

nsive group exercises that combine a cognitive behavioral approach with adventure based counseling techniques. The highly structured nature of the group format along with specific target behaviors that are taught daily, make this program a dynamic tool for the "tough to teach" student. Target behaviors are established within each group. Success skills are then taught and practices throughout the program flight. Teachers and parents will be educated regarding the student's replacement skill. This collaborative effort will empower students to practice and reach these goals throughout the instructional day.
