It’s all fun n games at Little Lions Summer Camp! ☀️ 🤩

We ended our Around the World week with a trip to China 🇨🇳, Japan 🇯🇵, and France 🇫🇷! We made Chinese New Year dragons, Japanese Children’s Day koinobori 🎏, stained glass cathedral windows, and Eiffel towers!

We’ve had the best 2nd week of camp and can’t wait to start Dinosaur Week tomorrow!

Week 2 Field Trip: our Big kids went to the Science Museum of Western Va today! Lots of hands on exploring and learning! 🧬

¡Viva México! 🇲🇽

Today we learned all about Mexico! We made piñatas, decorated sugar skulls, made necklaces with the colors of the Mexican flag, and wove Ojo de Dios (God’s eye) crosses!

We even got to break real piñatas and bring home some special goodies! 🪅

We’re traveling the world 🌍 this week!

First stop: Africa! Today, we learned about the Maasai Tribe of Kenya and their traditional necklaces. We also learned about pattern weaving and traditional African masks! 🇰🇪

We’ve made paper airplanes, passports, and pictures of our world! 🌎 ❤️

Next stop: Mexico! 🇲🇽 🪅

What better way to end Under the Sea week than with a water day! We had the most fun day full of water balloons, splash pads 💦, a slip n slide, sponge 🧽 relays, and more!

Week 1 of summer camp! Our Under the Sea week consisted of sharks 🦈 , turtles 🐢 , fish 🐠 , and bubbles 🫧 , oh my! We had the best week full of so much fun! Our students and staff have had an amazing week getting messy, playing, and learning together!

On Tuesday, we had our first field trip of the summer! Our elementary age campers traveled to Mill Mountain Theatre’s Waldron stage to see Pete the Cat Live!

We had a Rockin’ time! 🐱 🎸

Day 1 of summer camp is in the books! We kicked of “Under the Sea” week with jellyfish 🪼 paintings, water squirter painting outside, and making oceans 🌊 in a bottle!

We loved having our kiddos back in the building and we were SO excited to welcome back so many Little Lions alumni! It’s going to be a fin-tastic 🐠 summer!
