Tomorrow is Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss' birthday! We are going to celebrate by doing a variety of reading stations around the school. This is going to be fun!
Thank you to Ms. Humphries for organizing it and to all of the staff for lending a hand. The students are going to love it!

Our students participated in the coding assembly for our One School, One Book. We had staff dressed as Masked Readers. The students had to guess which teacher was under the mask. Everyone enjoyed it so much. After the guesses were done, the students were given a book by the same author and picked a rock that was painted by another student in the building.

This is tonight! We hope to see our families there to hear this very informative presentation. The kids will be supervised in another room playing games while parents attend. It starts at 6:30 so you have time to grab a bite to eat before coming out.

This is a reminder that we are having a community conversation about cell phones and children - Thursday, February 12, at 6:30 pm. We have a guest speaker and expert in the field presenting information regarding online dangers. Childcare will be provided so parents may attend the presentation.

Calling all parents of 4 or 5 year olds in the Mount Pleasant Community! Monday February 9th is KINDERGARTEN registration for the 2026-2027 school year. To attend KINDERGARTEN students must turn 5 by September 30, 2026.
Please bring the following items to the school between 7:30am and 4:00pm:
*Your lease or mortgage for proof of residency
* Birth certificate
*A physical from their pediatrician- it has to have been since August of 2025. Don't worry you can bring it later, but by July, if you haven't gotten their 5 yr old physical yet.
* Your driver's license
Please pass this info along to the parents at your church, daycare, with your neighbor and family friends. We need to have a pretty good idea of how many students we will have, to help us determine staffing needs.

Monday is conference day. No school!
Our 3rd through 5th conferences will be Student Led Conferences (SLCs). We are excited for our students to share their progress with their parents.

Prepare for a Friday the 13th like no other - it's BINGO night at MPE.

Our students have been collecting Soup for Seniors. The deadline had been extended due to the snow. We have 1 week left to collect some more. What a fantastic project our SCA is sponsoring.

We are out again tomorrow January 30th. That means students need to work on the 2nd packet. The packet should be marked VIRTUAL DAY 2. Please remember to send both packets back regardless of whether they are completed or not.
