Open House for students in 1st - 5th grade will be on August 11th. Families may come between 4 and 6pm to see their classroom, drop off supplies and meet the teacher. At 6pm, new familes (and anyone interested) will meet in the gym for some MPE specific information, followed by some time to meet the teacher and tour the school. All activities will conclude by 7pm.

Kindergarten Orientation is Monday, August 10th. We will meet in the gym at 5:30 to hear some specific school information and some Roanoke County information. The students will go to their rooms with their teachers during this presentation. At 6, you will join your children in the classrooms and learn important K info. Then the teachers will lead everyone on a tour of the building, that will conclude in the gym. Finally, at 6:45, all bus drivers will be there to talk to in case you have questions or concerns about pick up and drop off.
We can't wait to meet our newest little Terriers!

WOW! The first student day is August 13th! That's just 1 month away! Back to School will be on August 11th. More on the details later. Enjoy your last month!

If you need to register a child for school, whether it's kindergarten or you just moved into the area, we are ready and waiting to get your child enrolled! Monday - Thursday 7:30-3:30!
K students will need:
*A physical that has all up to date shots after August 13, 2025.
*Original birth certificate
*Proof of residency - a mortgage, or lease
And a rested hand because we will have the enrollment packet ready for you to fill out in the office (or you can take it home to fill out).
New to us students need:
*Proof of residency
*Sign a release for us to request all of the records from the previous school
And that rested hand because we will need all of the enrollment forms filled out by you as well.

We are almost to July! That means school will be starting in just over a month and a half- August 13th!
If you have a child or know a family who has a child, who will be 5 years old by September 30th, please tell them to come register for kindergarten! We need to know numbers so we can determine staffing needs and get you on the list for kindergarten screenings.

5th grade promotion is tomorrow morning at 9am in the gym.
Please arrive between 8:35 and 8:55. You will need your ID (anyone attending) to sign in. We will be assisting.
Parents if you'd like to check your students out afterward, please let your child and the teacher know. You may write a note to send in to help with the line but may also make a last minute decision.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow with those happy faces.
Finally, cap and gown pictures will be available for purchase tomorrow as well.
Congratulations to all of our 5th grade promotees and their proud parents/guardians.
