Attention Rising 7th Grade Families! As you begin to make appointments this summer, do not forget to ask for a copy of your child's immunization record. We must have a copy on file for your child to start school.

📣 **Attention William Byrd Middle School Families!** 🐾

**Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, ALL student-athletes must complete athletic registration through Arbiter.**

This includes **digital registration and sports physical submission.** **Paper copies of physicals will no longer be accepted.**

To get started:
✅ Create **one Arbiter Registration account per family**
✅ Activate your account using the email sent to you (check your junk/spam folder if needed)
✅ Scan the QR code or use the registration link in the attached flyer to complete your athlete’s registration

**Important reminders:**
🔸 **Every athlete must be registered** before participating in any sport.
🔸 If your **2025–2026 physical is still valid** (physicals are valid for 14 months) and **WBMS already has a copy on file**, you **do not need to upload it again.**
🔸 **All new physicals moving forward must be uploaded through the Arbiter system** to ensure records remain current and accessible.

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. Students must be fully registered and cleared before they are eligible to participate.

Happy Summer! Last night we honored our staff, whose tireless efforts support our students. Thank you for your dedication! A huge shoutout to Ms. Jones on her retirement! After 24 years at WBMS and 31 with RCPS, Ms. Jones is ready for a more relaxed lifestyle and plenty of beach trips!

May has been a busy month here at WBMS. Last week we celebrated our 8th graders and all of their accomplishments. Congratulations to the class of 2030 and best of luck in high school!

WBMS Cross Country is gearing up for an exciting season, and we are looking for runners in grades 6th–8th to join the team! Whether you are an experienced runner or just looking to try something new, Cross Country is a great way to build endurance, make friends, and represent WBMS!

📍 First Practice: Thursday, July 23 at 5:00 PM
📍 Meet at the track entrance at WBHS
📍 Athletes must have a current VHSL physical on file
