Mrs. Whisker's FACS Classes

What an awesome morning at See You at the Pole on Wednesday!

So proud of our FCA students for coming together to pray for our school, friends, families, community, and nation. There’s just something pretty special about seeing students gather together to share their faith!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped with breakfast and supported our students! We are so blessed! 🥰

My classes have been busy! My Fashion students tackle their Outdoor Couture Challenge... My Food students cooked eggs outside on their tin can stoves… And my Intro students battled it out playing Utensils Catchphrase!

Every year, my Intro to FACS students write their own food safety and sanitation songs. I always sing my go-to example to kick things off, but this year, the class joined in and sang along with me! They did such an amazing job that I just had to share it.

First Day Fun!

Look at these amazing creations! My fashion students had so much fun bringing the kindergarteners’ felt monster designs to life. Each monster is as unique and creative as the little designers themselves! 💖

We are so grateful for our connection with the elementary school and can’t wait for more fun projects like this in the future. Thank you, kinders, for inspiring us!

Today, my Fashion Exploration class hosted its 4th Annual Fashion Throughout History Show, and we were thrilled to have Sowers join us! The event featured five distinct eras, ranging from the classic 1950s to the grungy 1990s. It was so much fun!!!

Plus I was twining with one of my students because today was Neon Lights for our Homecoming dress up day!!! 💙💛

The first few weeks of FACS have been full of creativity and fun!

Students practiced knife skills with potatoes—then turned them into delicious french fries so nothing went to waste.

We also learned about outdoor cooking safety with a tin can cooking project.

Meanwhile, my Fashion class got resourceful and designed clothing made entirely from materials they collected outside!

Love seeing all the hands-on learning happening already this year!
