🚨 IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION REMINDER, VIKING FAMILIES! 🚨

As we begin the new school year, we want to make sure our students, parents, guardians, and community members are aware of several important transportation and dismissal procedures at William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy.

⏰ Transportation changes must be made BEFORE 11:30 AM. Requests received after 11:30 AM cannot be guaranteed.

🚗 Transportation changes can ONLY be made to CAR RIDER. Students cannot be changed from their regular transportation to ride a different bus.

🚌 NO BUS CHANGES WILL BE ACCEPTED OVER THE PHONE.

🕝 Early checkout ends at 2:30 PM. Please plan accordingly, as early dismissals will not be processed after 2:30 PM.

Parents and guardians, your cooperation helps us maintain an organized dismissal process and ensure every Viking gets where they need to go at the end of the school day. Please plan ahead and communicate any necessary changes as early as possible.

💙💛 WHAT A NIGHT IN VIKING LAND! 💛💙

Last night’s William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy Open House was absolutely INCREDIBLE! Seeing our Viking Gym filled with students, families, teachers, staff, and community members reminded us exactly why we do this work. Our families showed up—and they showed up BIG!

From reconnecting with returning Vikings to welcoming new students and families, the energy throughout the building was undeniable. Students met their teachers, received schedules and important information, families connected with staff, and our school community came together to prepare for an exciting new year.

But Open House was about more than schedules, forms, and information. It was about relationships. Partnership. Belonging. Opportunity. It was about making sure every student walked away knowing: There is a place for you at Davie, and we are ready for you!

A huge THANK YOU to our teachers, staff, families, students, and community partners who helped make the evening such a tremendous success. The pictures tell the story—Viking Land was alive! 🙌🏾

And now… we’re ready.

📣 CALLING ALL FUTURE VIKING CHEERLEADERS! 💙💛📣

It’s time to bring the ENERGY, SPIRIT, and VIKING PRIDE! William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy will hold Viking Cheerleading Tryouts for students in grades 6–8.

📅 Monday, August 24 – Wednesday, August 26, 2026
⏰ 3:30–5:30 PM each day
📍 Viking Gym Foyer

Students interested in trying out must attend all three days to be considered.

Participants should come prepared with:
📣 A white athletic top and black athletic bottoms
👟 Closed-toe athletic shoes
💧 Water
🩺 An updated athletic physical already on file OR an updated copy brought to tryouts
🔥 Viking spirit, energy, enthusiasm, strong vocal projection, and your BEST effort!

🚨 IMPORTANT: Students must have transportation arranged and be picked up promptly at 5:30 PM each day.
