It’s always been a goal of mine to put books in the hands of young readers. This year, I will have a little free library within my classroom for students to have access to books they can take home and read, donate their old books, or keep a book - no exchange necessary! 📚
An incentivized reading challenge never hurt either! 😜

It's time to begin thinking about next school year! In August, I am so excited to continue the K-2 learning pod! Following the Hillsborough County school calendar for start/end dates and breaks, we will meet from 8:30-11:30 Monday-Wednesday for ELA/Math with Thursdays being an add-on for Science/Social Studies! All learning opportunities will take place in Riverview, near 301/Symmes.

Summer book club is back!! I cannot wait to get these groups started! Every Wednesday in June & July, Kinder/1st grade will meet from 4:00-5:00 and 2nd-4th grades will meet from 5:00-6:00! See the Google Form for more information and signing up! I hope to see your kiddos there!

We have been busy busy lately but having lots of fun! Here’s a peek at a couple things I remembered to document! 😜 This month we’ve read and completed activities for A Crankenstein Valentine, Love Splat, and Click Clack Moo I Love You (seen in photos).

We have been having so much fun learning the past few weeks! Outside of regular learning we’ve completed Halloween/Fall themed book studies, celebrated Johnny Appleseed, and had a Hurricane (learning) day to kick off our days off due to Hurricane Milton!

It's time!! If you have been waiting to apply for the New Worlds Scholarship, applications are now open!

As long as funds remain available, VPK and public school students in grades K-5 may be eligible for a New Worlds Scholarship Account if they:
✨Have a substantial reading deficiency or exhibits characteristics of dyslexia as identified under s. 1008.25(5)
✨Or scored below a Level 3 on the statewide, standardized English Language Arts (ELA) assessment in the prior school year.
✨Or have a substantial deficiency in mathematics or the characteristics of dyscalculia as identified under s. 1008.25(6)
✨Or scored below a Level 3 on the statewide, standardized Mathematics assessment in the prior school year.
✨An eligible student who is classified as an English Language Learner and is enrolled in a program or receiving services that are specifically designed to meet the instructional needs of English Language Learner students shall receive priority.
