Dear Stingray Families,

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I wanted to wish you all a wonderful summer! We have accomplished many great things together and we look forward to continuing the progress next year. We also welcome our rising 6th graders! We are so excited to have your child joining us as an incoming 6th grader and becoming part of our Stingray community.

As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to share an important opportunity to get involved and make a lasting impact on our school. At this time, we do not yet have a PTSA Board established for the upcoming school year.

First, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our 2025–2026 PTSA members. Their dedication and support helped create meaningful experiences for our students—from special celebrations throughout the year to supporting what became the largest and most well-attended 8th grade promotion ceremony in our school's history. Their work truly made a difference, and we are eager to continue that tradition.

If you are receiving this message, it means you have a student returning or entering 6th grade—and this is a perfect opportunity to get involved in your child's middle school journey.

Serving on the PTSA Board is a powerful way to:

-Build partnerships between families and the school
-Help shape a positive and engaging school culture
-Stay connected and involved throughout your child's middle school years

Our band students enjoyed a Saturday field trip to Universal Studios, celebrating a SUPERIOR year filled with hard work, dedication, and outstanding performances. What a well‑deserved reward for an amazing group of students!

Our ELA team is keeping the momentum going! Ms. Blackwood and Ms. Fields hosted a Starbooks Café in the media center, creating a fun and engaging space that celebrates reading and promotes continued literacy for our students.
We love seeing creativity, collaboration, and a continued focus on strong instruction—every day counts! 🌟📖

🎉🤖 We are incredibly proud of our Rodgers Robotics team! 🤖🎉
Our talented students were formally recognized at the May 12th Board Meeting for their outstanding achievements—and for good reason! Rodgers Robotics earned an amazing 2nd place in the World Championship at RoboFest in Michigan, competing against teams from around the globe.

This accomplishment reflects our students’ innovation, teamwork, perseverance, and problem‑solving skills, as well as the dedication of their coaches and supporters. What an incredible example of what happens when curiosity meets commitment!

Starting Monday, all remaining yearbook sales will be in-person. Acceptable means of payment are cash and check, made payable to Rodgers Middle Magnet School.

Final call for the 2025-2026 yearbook! This Friday is the last day to purchase a yearbook online. There are a limited number of copies remaining, so get yours NOW!
