As we scoop up the last few days of our “Scooping Up 50 Years of Summer” celebration, we couldn’t think of a more meaningful way to wrap up the season than with our Memory Lane Mini Museum! 🕰️❤️
Our entire Mary Go Round family—teachers and families alike—helped make this special event possible by sharing treasured memorabilia from years gone by. Every item had a story, and our campers loved hearing them all!
Some of the highlights included:
✨ A yo-yo all the way from Alaska, with one of our campers giving everyone a fun demonstration of how to use it.
🔔 A set of Tibetan bells, complete with a live demonstration of how they’re used.
🧵 A grandmother’s vintage measuring tape that was once used to make clothing by hand.
🩷 A homemade doll from 1987, lovingly preserved through the years.
🎮 An original Game Boy brought in by one of our teachers.
🦇 A Batman replica collector’s car shared by one of our families.
🎵 HitClips that still worked and brought back so many memories!
⚾ A fourth-generation baseball glove originally used in the 1960s.
😂 Even a classic whoopee cushion, one of the oldest toys on display!
Campers were fascinated as they learned about treasures from the past, including an old-school favorite called Pogs, and discovered how toys, games, music, and everyday items have changed over the years.
Thank you to every family and teacher who shared a piece of your history with us. Your stories helped us celebrate not only the past, but also the incredible community that has made Mary Go Round so special for the past 50 years. Here’s to making memories for generations to come! ❤️🍦✨
